“Old "Hollywood" style fun restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2013

Good service (eat in the bar area) and tasty food. Be warned, the portions are large yummy pub food; you may attempt to eat all then food on the plate because it tastes so good. Good venue meet friends and have a good meal. Be aware that parking is an issue, but they have valet service.

“Eat in the Bar!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

The Tam was once the hangout of Walt Disney and Old Hollywood stars. We go early and grab a seat in the bar/lounge area. You can order the full menu, or just get a sandwich or apps. The full dining room is great for larger parties or special occasions. The John Wayne table is a good one. The food is not stellar, but it is consistent. Don't order anything that seems too creative, they are best at the classics: Toad in the Hole, prime rib, etc. the best thing about the place is the Snow White and the Seven Dwarves amosphere. The lounge will have locals, it's not a terribly touristy spot. Check their website for live music.

“Good Food but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Everything from the steak to service to ambience was great. The only thing I did not like was their parking policy. Tam O Shanter does not allow self parking on their restaurant parking lot. When you enter the property there is a sign that says "ABSOLUTELY NO SELF PARKING". They require you to get down and let them valet park your car. That to me is a turn off. I truly don't understand whey they insist on this rule. Diners should be given the freedom to park their own cars. They if they need assistance turn to the valet parking attendant. It is sort of dictating on the diner. And the fee is quite stiff at $ 3.75 ! Are they afraid that they will not be tipped enough? I would have given this restaurant a perfect 5 rating.
