When you're paying almost $200 a night to stay in a hotel, you expect it to be clean, quiet, and well-appointed, which this hotel is. Our quibble has to do with the service. On Saturday night, we couldn't sleep for the noise of a very loud party. We called the front desk twice and were told security would look into it. After 45 minutes my husband went down a floor and discovered a party in the restaurant with more than 200 people in attendance and a very loud sound system. The front desk eventually moved us to another floor, but why did we have to ask three times? Second example. We got up at 5 a.m. to catch the shuttle the day of our departure. We arrived ten minutes early and sat down on the bench outside, enjoying the sunshine. The shuttle sailed right by us. I leapt up and ran over to two car jockeys who were standing around talking (not much action that time of the morning). I asked them to call the shuttle back -- one advised me they "don't do shuttles" only cars. The other told me it wasn't his fault I'd overslept. Again, we persisted, found a staff member who called the shuttle and it returned to pick us up. But again, at this price, the service could be better.
