“Great location, phenomenal customer service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

I recently stayed at the Loews for several days on a combo business and personal trip. The hotel location is perfect for anyone who wants to tour the Hollywood sights. You are only about a block from Hollywood blvd. and a short walk puts you right in the center of the action at Hollywood and Highland. The Chinese theater and all the other attractions are within a few blocks. Also attached to the hotel is the a very, very nice shopping and dining center. You really won't need a car at all!

The hotel itself if first class. All the common areas are immaculate and well kept. The rooftop pool has terrific views. My room was well equipped and comfortable. Average in size, but certainly fine for a standard room. To my surprise, the room which was one of the lower priced rooms, also had a view of the Hollywood sign....nice surprise.

Food: We had group events catered at the hotel during the week and the food was just phenomenal! Nearly all of my colleagues attending the event commented how great the food was. Apparently the hotel is associated with Wolfgang Puck and the influence shows through.

Customer service was also awesome. I had a few requests from the room for extra coffee, shampoo, etc and the hotels staff was right on it. It was no problem and whatever I asked for was brought right up to the room.

Price - Very reasonable with our negotiated rate. It is a top notch hotel in a very desirable location, well worth what I paid and possibly more.

Overall, I found the Loews Hollywood to be an excellent hotel and would not hesitate to visit again.

My partner and I recently spent 2 nights in this nice hotel, situated in the heart of Hollywood, literally meters away from Hollywood Boulevard.
As we were part of a touring group, we were given rooms with fantastic views over the Hollywood sign. For people like me, who always dreamt of seeing it, it was just amazing !
Rooms are very well appointed with great TVs, comfy beds and lovely bathrooms.
Buffet breakfast was awesome.
It was a very convenient hotel and I would definitely recommend it if you want to stay at the heart of the action. Universal Studios is only 1 metro station away (metro station being just under the hotel).
All in all, a solid product that Loews took over a few years ago. We loved it !

of course, it's a long drive from the airport to here and it's a long drive from here to both the Getty Museum and any of the film Studios. The hotel itself is great, and affordable, it is the perfect location for wandering around Hollywood. It's of course attached to the Dolby theatre where they have the Academy Awards, and there are lots of famous buildings in this block, which are sometimes seen in movies.I would stay here again, paying the going rate, but it would be nice to get it a bit cheaper. We stayed for three nights at about US$250 a night.

Myself and my partner stayed at the hotel for 5 nights over New Year and had a great time. After getting in a shared minibus from the airport and seeing some other places that travellers were getting off at we were so relieved when we saw the location of our hotel.

On arrival we were checked in by a friendly member of staff who gave us a map of the local area and some useful information. We were so impressed when we let ourselves into our room. It was much larger than expected and it had a lovely bathroom. The only drawback that we found with the bathroom is that it felt very cold when getting out of the shower. Our room overlooked the shopping centre, so nothing too exciting! That evening we went and had a look at the pool area, it looked lovely although the weather in December wasn't warm enough for a proper visit.

During our trip we visited Santa Monica pier, which was 2 bus rides away and took around an hour. We also went to Universal Studios which was very easy to get to, just one Metro stop away and the Hollywood and Highland Metro station is very close to the hotel. We loved the fact that the hotel was attached to the Hollywood and Highland shopping centre, it had some good shops and restaurants. It was also very close to Hollywood Boulevard and the Walk of Fame and a few minutes away from the Chinese Theatre with the famous hand and footprints. This became very busy quite early on so for picture opportunities we were there at about 9am on our last day and it was easier to get the photographs that you wanted.

We had a great breakfast at Mel's Drive In Diner which was near Ripley's Believe It or Not and one morning we also walked to IHOP and had amazing pancakes, this only took about 10-15mins to get to.

One day we went on a Hollywoodland bus tour, it went on for about 2hrs and it was a good way to see touristy parts of the city. We saw the houses of some famous people, drove up a mountain to a viewpoint for the Hollywood sign (although you get a closer view from the front of the hotel) and drove up Sunset Boulevard. We were meant to visit Rodeo Drive on the trip but it was closed for filming that morning.

We used the free FIAT 500 service to get to The Grove shopping centre. We did not book in advance and a car was available straight away. It was a good experience and we wished that we had time to take advantage of the free test drive.

We went out to a bar to celebrate NYE and then came back to the hotel and had a drink at the bar which was really nice and not overly expensive.

My only negative piece of feedback about the hotel is the customer service that I have received since I have arrived back in London. As we were waiting for our shuttle to the airport we sat in the lobby area and began to repack some bags. I took off my hooded jacket and in a rush, left it there by accident. I sent an email to the hotel as soon as I arrived home asking if it was possible to ship it over and that I would pay for shipping charges (if it had been handed in) and was happy to get a reply very quickly from Nancy saying that my email had been passed on to somebody called Samantha. However, since then I have not been contacted. I left it about 2 weeks and then emailed the hotel again, but still did not hear anything back. This is very disappointing considering the fantastic service that I received when I stayed there.

Our stay was excellent. Suite was beautiful & the view was beyond words. Front desk treated us like royalty. We ordered room service for breakfast, a little expensive but worth every penny. Location was perfect for sightseeing.

We spent two nights at the Loews Hollywood Hotel, and it was a perfect stay in all ways.
The room was spectacular, with a view of the Hollywood sign out our window. The staff were helpful and courteous, as is the custom with all Loews' properties we have stayed with.
Walking distance to the landmarks and great dining choices.
We will be Back!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view of the Hollywood sign.

Loews was much better than expected! The rooms were spacious and the view of the Hollywood sign was terrific! This was centrally located - we were blocks from Grauman's Chinese theater and when you use the exit from the mall that is accessible from the third floor you are right at the walk of fame. The access to the mall is key as there are great shops and restaurants to eat in.
Really enjoyed our stay at this prime location.

Room Tip: ask for the higher floors so you have a view of the Hollywood sign!
