“Perfect for a one night stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

We stayed at the Super 8 LAX one night before leaving to Las Vegas. We’d chosen this motel for it’s cheap price and closeness to LAX and Alamo, where we’d rented a car that we had to go drop off the evening of our stay.
This motel is all you need if you just want to freshen up and have a good night sleep before moving on. The two men at the reception were friendly. Breakfast normally started at 6am, but since the reception was open 24/7 and the breakfast area was in the same room as the reception, we could get breakfast earlier before leaving for Vegas.
Our room was pretty big, with a king-size bed, flat screen tv, table, chairs, closet and so on. The bathroom was clean and enough towels were provided.
Maybe just one downside to this hotel: you could really hear the planes passing over. But because my friend and I both slept with earplugs in, this didn’t bother us.

We stayed at Super 8 right after arriving in LA for the first night of out tour. The room was very dark, small and noisy. The towews were dirty and poor. The breakfast was very poor and there were not many seats available. The hotel employee is not very willing to help at all.

Room Tip: You can find a better hotel on the same area for similar prices.

Saved me from "Carmageddon." Thanks! It is excellent quality and excellent value. Shuttle was timely. I encountered no problems.

Stayed for one night. The man behind the desk was great. Checked us in quick and ordered us a taxi when requested, as well as giving us directions. He could not be faulted.
The room wasn't fantastic but then again it wasn't bad. It was clean and tidy and had the basic things you expect. Booked the room before checking out other locations and found the Hilton down the road to be slightly cheaper and clearly better. All in all though, it was good enough for one night.

We stayed at the Super 8 before flying home to the UK. I could not fault the hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and spacious and I was extremely pleased to find a welcome pack (sadly lacking in most of the previous places we had stayed). There was also information about places to eat including that provided a delivery service. Free tea and coffee was also available 24 hrs which was a welcome extra as although there was coffee making facilities in the room we only drink tea. The only negative was that the airport shuttle only ran until 12 noon so whilst we would have liked to pay extra to retain the room there was little point as we then would have needed to pay a cab to get us to the airport.

We stayed here for one night to catch an early morning flight to Kauai. It is not worth the money we paid (about $100 including tax and fee).
Our room is small and old. We waited more than 30 minutes for their shuttle to pick us up at the airport.
We don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here July 31st for its proximity to LAX and the free airport shuttle. Paid $95 for one room for 2 people with our AAA discount.
The good:
The staff was friendly and check-in and check-out were easy and fast. The bed was comfortable.
The bad:
The bathroom could use a good cleaning. Thank goodness I had Lysol wipes with me! There was hair on the shower wall, the switchplate was grimy, and the bathroom floor needed a good cleaning. You do hear planes going overhead, of course, but we didn't hear any after around 11 pm.
Breakfast was cereal, pastries, coffee and juice served in the tiny office.
