We used this hotel for 1 night as we had an early flight back to ATL and wanted the closest hotel to the terminal. Checkin went smooth. The room was clean and decorated nicely, but that was it. The A/C was mimimal and of course, you could not open a window. There was not a pillow top as described on the website, but the bed was comfortable. The problem was the shower. The water pressure was very low and the shower curtain was almost in the middle of the shower area. No washcloths, so I used a hand towel. Running a bath would have been quicker than taking a shower. This was for one night and I paid a good rate ($69 inclusive). This would not be our choice for more than 1 night. Stay here again? No, but if the rate is low again, maybe. Fyi, I have never found a good LAX airport hotel as we visit here frequently. The Radisson was probably the best, though.

This is a very good hotel, despite the fact that it is only 3 star. Also dont be fooled by the dull brown facade. Its really beautiful inside. We had a room on the top floor. The decor was impeccable, with a king sized bed and huge television. We had a fantastic view of the runway, great for plane spotting and totally soundproof. The only downside was the restaurant was a little pricey so we did not eat there, and the pool was very noisy from the planes flying overhead, but exciting! The standard of Radissions in general is never disappointing. They also provide a courtesy bus to the airport (you can walk there!) and to the beach. Well located.

I am also puzzled by some of the negative commentary.

The location is convenient enough. The airport area has its quirks in terms of exits from the freeways, but its doable. The major freeways get you where you want to go.

The concierges knew their stuff. Victor took the time to point out a couple of good restaurants as well as shopping and helped out with some directions.

The check in took a little while, but there were a lot of folks. My room was clean. I was on the fouth floor of the hotel. The channel selection on the tube isn't the greatest, but I don't visit LA to watch TV.

A nice touch is the road map on the room key envelope. You dont want to be fiddling with a map driving on those roads.

Can't complain folks. Got a great price and a nice room.

I would agree with most of the comments in these reviews. We started off our two week holiday at the raddison, and after a long flight and harrowing journey to get to the hotel, check in was smooth and effiecent. Room facilities and the comfy bed spot on - all up to expectations of raddison. I would agree that most of the staff were very friendly and warm, especially the resturant staff.
The only exception being one of the desk staff - who appeared a little off hand / dis-interested (although not impolite in any way) and also a security guard for a conference that tried to stop me leaving the hotel after we had checked out! as I was leaving by the side door - and he wanted to see an ID tag - I have the impression that business customers may well be priotised by some of the staff - rather than average tourists in average holiday clothes, who are paying a similar rate per night!!!!! however this small niggle would not stop me returning! On the whole a very enjoyable stay.
