“Fantastic location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2013

Exceeded our expectations, great place to walk from, Disny Hall, LA Music center, Little Tokyo, tons of rests. etc. Our room had everything needed, very nice staff and the price was reasonable. Will return!!

Great location with very good service. Needed a little extra space to work in so when a special deal opened up for an Executive Double over 2 days, we grabbed it in time and we were so very pleased with the room, service, close proximity to numerous, good Japanese restaurants, and the fact that valet parking was included in the rate was icing on the cake. Service was great overall! Highly recommend this quality hotel!

Room Tip: Executive Double made for a spacious work environment.

We found The Miyako Hotel in Little Tokyo on TripAdvisor and thought we'd give it a go as it had good reviews. I have to say this was a great choice overall. The staff were always extremely helpful and courteous. The room (executive king suite) was great - king size bed did not disappoint, bathroom and room were very clean and the electronic toilet was a laugh!

The neighbor is great to. Little Tokyo is a fun, safe area with plenty of restaurant's, bars and shops. If you are our age (20-30) definitely check out the Far Bar across the street. Great food and drinks. Little Tokyo seemed to be quite a 'cool' area, for anyone interested in that sort of thing.

Room Tip: Upgrade to the Executive King Suite for a very comfy king-size bed, nicer bathroom, and better locat...

we stay in Miyako Hotel twice. first time 2 days and go out for 6 day tour trip. then go back for 3 nights. we keep our luggage there during the tour trip wihout any charge. Rooms are very clearn and big enough for us as we do have 5 suitcases. hotel is located in Little Tokyo and very close to the Little Tokyo subway station. If you don't drive, convient to go out. a lot of Japanese restaurants nearby.

Hotels in downtown LA can be pricy, and often not worth it. But you also need to worry about staying a low-rent hotel as well. After all, this is Downtown LA! I found the Miyako to be a nice surprise. Great location in LIttle Tokyo, just a coupe of blocks from a MetroLine station. Check in was easy, and I was really pleased with the room. It had just been redone, and was large and well-equipped. No complaints and a perfectly fine option for a business-oriented hotel at an affordable price in Downtown LA. I will stay here again!

I went to LA to visit sister and I stayed here. I couldnt have asked for a better way to be immersed in the local asian culture. Ive stayed at 4 and 5 star hotels before and been in luxurious suites but I liked the feel of this place better. Of course the amenities arent as nice but the feel was great. There were Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, and Indian restaurants right next to the hotel. There was also a museum a block away and some of the best clothing and shoe stores that ive found. It wasnt far from the other cities and the airport. I loved the urban feel of the place. I will be staying there again when i go back.

Picked this hotel since it is easy to reach from Union Station. One stop on the Gold line.
Bus #30 runs frequently 24hrs,a day with connections to all other area transit. Little Tokyo has variety of restaurants and shops for immediate needs. The hotel has a reasonably priced cafe for coffee and bagels. We paid extra for an "Executive Tokyo King" with total of $149 inc tax. Was disappointed to have paid extra. The room needed a makeover, but was OK for one night. The window opened for fresh air, but annoying noise from a/c equipment outside kept it closed. Also there was noise from equipment in the room walls. Would stay here again if price right, but would opt for lower price King.
