“Best spot in LA”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2014

This has become my LA home. Accessible to everything - beach, hollywood or downtown. The rooms are great - especially the suites with book cases and great books - service is proactive but the best aspect is the Cipriani restaurant - a true secret to LA.

We were very excited to stay at Mr. C. It is the old Beverly Hills Tower hotel that has been bought by the Cipriani family. Do not stay here. Besides the money put into the rooms everything is awful. Service is completely amateur - think young non english speaking staff, grounds are non-existent (tiny pool facing Pico Blvd, restaurant is not good as well. Rooms are not clean (dust in corners), shower water was luke warm at best. They don't make any attempt to make the guest feel welcome. Overall, there are plenty of better options in LA.

Dear travelerlux2013,
Thank you for your feedback and we appreciate your choice of staying at Mr.C. I must say that I was surprised to read the concerns you shared as it is atypical of the service and amenities we offer. I would also like to apologise that your experience was not up to your expectations. All of our team members are English speaking individuals; we also have a large number of employees that speak 2-5 languages as well, and have extensive hotel experience. I would gladly discuss with you any details of what went wrong that led to such an unexpected experience. In hopes to hear from you, I thank you for your time.

This was our second stay at this property. One half of the hotel faces a busy street Pico blvd. IRooms on this side of the hotel suffer from traffic noise but in addition there is construction and noise from the shopping complex. During our stay cleaning at the adjacent stores began at 5:30 am with a power blower cleaning up debris. After we complained about the noise we were moved to a room on a higher floor on the same side. That night at 4 am a crazy person began a loud rave that lasted until after 6 am. He was camped out at the bus stop across from the hotel for the next two days. For a fee we were then moved to the opposite side of the hotel. To add insult to injury I accidentely spilled red wine on our bed while having a room service dinner. The hotel sent me a bill for $1000 fo damages to there bed linen. This being said if you find that you would like to book a room at this hotel be sure you avoid the half of the hotel facing Pico blvd.

We're currently staying here for a few nights (Deluxe Beverly Hills View on the 5th floor). It is a very cool hotel and the service has been just right. Nice design, great showers, nice amenities.

However the building as a whole does not feel like it has been well made and you can hear sounds quite clearly from other rooms - both upstairs and next door (TV, music, talking, footsteps etc). There are also no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Room rates and room service rates are very expensive and frankly I feel that the hotel is overpriced for what it is. Not to mention the valet parking which is steep at USD 35 per day. Breakfast is an additional cost - luckily there's a Ralph's supermarket opposite the street so we've been buying our breakfast from there each morning!

We have stayed at Mr. C's twice now. The location is perfect if you want to be close to Rodeo Dr. The rooms are clean with a contemporary decor. I am not sure if all rooms have a view but both times we have stayed we have had a great view and have never asked to be upgraded. You check in at the bar while enjoying a complimentary Bellini, whomever thought of that is brilliant. I never look forward to check in anywhere except here... :-).
I Highly recommend, the staff has always been friendly and helpful and the restaurant is very good.

Great experience, awesome hotel, very friendly staff, super location in the middle of Beverly Hills.
I would totally recommend this hotel to anybody that wants to be close to Beverly Hills, and be 20 minutes away from everything (Airport, Santa Monica, Hollywood, ...)

Room Tip: Get a High Floor, possibly facing Rodeo Drive

My wife and I stayed at Mr C on our honeymoon a few weeks ago. This was our first trip to USA and Mr C was the first place we stayed and WOW what an amazing hotel this is a 5 star hotel (we did not know this when the travel agent booked) and both me and my wife said to each other that this is to nice and we don't belong here when looking at the other guests. However every single staff member that we interacted with treated us as though we were the most important guests at the hotel. We did have a problem with the balcony door not locking which I told them about in the morning and within 10 minutes the maintenance man was at our room to fix it. The house car is also a great asset to use to get you to the local malls or around Beverley Hills. A special mention must go to the night bar tender Tyler my wife and I spent a lot of nights sitting at the bar talking to Tyler and watching him make all sorts of drinks and it was defiantly one of the highlights of our trip.
If we holiday again in LA we will defiantly stay here again.
