The moment I walked in the place reaked of something, not sure what. I booked the room through priceline and the only options they gave me was a smoking room (which stunk even worse than the lobby) and a handi-capped room. I took the handi-capped room.
I asked that a second guest be added to my reservation and the guy had me write the name on the check in sheet. My guest later stopped by to
pick up a key and the clerk refused to give him a key. He told her that the
reservation was under my name and that I had added him to it, and she still refused.
He had to call the police before she was willing to work with him and verify the
information and give him a key to the room. This was at 3:00 in the morning. I was
on the phone with him as this was going on. She was completely uncooperative until
the police were called at which time she did a 180.
When I called the next day to complain to the manager his only reponse was that she
does not speak English well. First, a well run hotel would properly record such
important information as adding a second guest so that it would be easy for any
clerk to find. Secondly, hiring employees that don't speak english in an english
speaking country is irresponsible when they are the only employee on-site. There
should be a 2nd employee there who knows how to effectively communicate.
I would never ever stay here again. The rooms are dark, they stink, and both the staff and management are incompetent.
The only plus would be the location and the fridge and microwave. But there are other hotels that offer this at the same price with much more curteous service.
