The first thing you notice at Bottega Louie are the macarons. The next thing you see are the beautifully packaged gift boxes and fine chocolate bars wrapped in lovely pastels. If you have to wait for your table, you will tick off the gorgeous desserts in the case of the patisserie in anticipation of what you may order at the end of your meal. It's not difficult, as the baked goods are front and center of the large space, so you cannot miss them.
If Bottega Louie were merely a bakery, it would be one of the finest I've ever visited. But they also have an inviting bar and a very good restaurant. We were there for a light lunch, so all we ordered were salads, so I cannot speak for the other entrees - but the salads were excellent. As was the bread. And of course, that dessert.
