Since i actually live in Los Angeles, I wasn't expecting to feel so far away from my daily life so close to home. Something about El Tres made the daily grind, the everyday stress of basic living in the city, flow right out of their Mexican paradise gates. I stayed there because 2 good friends came into town and we decided to make a real vacation of it...since they were on vacation, it was a perfect opportunity for myself to take a mini break, and I'm so glad we played it this way. Basically, it's got all the comforts of home, kitchen with coffee and snacks and good spirits, huge tv room with all the channels, record player and a great selection of vinyl, nice tub and luxurious products to relax in the bath with, incredibly comfortable beds and beautiful linens (i could go on) all delivered and available in high style and uniquely gorgeous accommodations. It's as if you were staying in the Mexican Rieviera, 1970, well, without the ocean. But, that doesn't matter...Silverlake and Los Feliz are walking distance away so there is tons to do, that is if you actually feel like leaving the complex, haha. El Chavo restaurant and El Chavito bar just downstairs may be the only entertainment and food you're looking for, yummy!! It was a great and fun weekend and I'm sure we'll opt to go this way again next time my friends come into town again. Bravo!
