Spent a long weekend in LA (from San Francisco) and found the Orbit perfect for our stay. Huge rooms (we took a private room but from what I saw of the dorms they were spacious too), clean, free wifi, free breakfast, 24hr coffee, pleasant office staff, bike storage (we brought ours) and a short walk to some of Hollywood's best dining and nightlife. Enjoyed having lunch at Urth cafe (about 10mins walk down Melrose) and watching the TMZ guys follow people around! Great hostel. Forget the fools below trying to compare fancy hotel/motels to a hostel. If you want to stay at Holiday Inn or Travel Lodge then book there instead, but if you know what hostels are about then this is pretty much perfect for the Hollywood area.
