I was so excited to book this place because its always been a dream of mine to spend the night in a theme hotel. I was scared that my boyfriend would not be as into it but we picked a room we could both agree on and it was Rome here we come!!!! first of all, the pictures of this place DO NOT do it justice! the murals and overall design of each room are soo beautiful! and the ladies who do the service/care/everything are soo nice! i remember at least 3 different people.. i loved them all! they were so knowledgable about the area and hotel's history too which we are soo into! in any event, the rooms were beautiful, perfect - we felt completely transported! breakfast was amazing and we were so excited about it every morning. the in room wine was tasty and glasses beautiful! there was a fridge included too which was great b/c we stopped by solvang for snacks first. the area is great but like Rob, the owner told me..take time to enjoy the room! the hot tub was one of the best i've been in.. i love bubble baths but my bf doesn't always fit in the tub and this one was crazy big! and comfortable, perfect for his back issues! the room was so well thought out and the attention to detail is unmatched. even the in room movies were a fabulous touch. the lighting was very mood appropriate and classy. i had some of the best sleep in the chariot bed too! it was hugh and the linens, super soft. i have NOTHING bad to say about this place. maybe that i wish i lived closer and could come more often. before checking in we went to the saloon next door, super fun and convenient to just walk a short amount to our accommodations. we did their wine lovers package and besides being a great deal, i think it was one of our BEST vacay ideas ever. convenient, fun, organized...so relaxing, fun and a nice, close to home getaway! i can go on and on!!!! i would post more pics but.. i don't want to spoil too much of the charm and surprise. keep your eyes on this place, hopefully they can execute more of their enhancement/expansion ideas!!!
