“Reasonably Good Food and Service, but No Ambience , and Loud”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Recommended by a colleague, Cafe Zorro is located in the town of Loomis, about 23 miles northeast of Sacramento. It's in a rather dingy strip mall and is a family owned neighborhood style restaurant. No ambience to speak of, and the decibel level way up there. My wife thought her Caesar was "one of the best she's ever had," nice croutons, and plenty of garlic. The summer tasting salad consisted of a small caprese salad (3 slices of tomato and mozzarella, but oddly no basil), literally two spoons of gazpacho, and a few fried zucchini chips. The olive bread, which we had to ask for, was quite tasty. Our lasagna was a generous portion, which was good, but certainly not great. It could have been a little more spicy and more moist. Wine selections local and rather pedestrian. At $30 a piece, the price was right, but overall, we felt the place was OK, but nothing special, and we doubt if we would drive out there again for just above average food and zip ambience.

“Neighborhood night out.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

We have six couples and one single who go out to dinner once a nonth in the Auburn to Roseville area. One couple had heard about Cafe Zorro and booked it for our next dinner. Of the 20 or more restuarants we have been to - this was by far the best. There were countless oohs and ahhs as we shared our appetizers and passed around a variety of main courses for sampling. Great service, very accommodating for a group of 13. Everyone made plans to return. Too bad they are only open for dinner.

“Off night?”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

Best part-drinks at the bar and the 3 bean quiona Salad. Never got our wine ... Asked 2x. 30 minutes to get our bill. Food was so so. Sadly disappointed.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 14, 2013

I had a fantastic, rare, filet..because I ordered "rare", the chef came out to give me a hug!!
My companion had a wonderful, well presented seafood dish. Everything was very tastful, service w/a smile..
Fresh salads, tasty soup....just a good experience all-in-all.

“A real gem of a restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2013 via mobile

We love this restaurant ! We live in Loomis and it such a treat to be able to have a gourmet dinner around the corner from our house. I love to cook and my family is spoiled When I need a night out this is one of my favorite places . The food is always fresh. The salads amazing, pizzas are incredible and they have nightly specials that are exceptional. If you are looking for a casual atmosphere with amazing food then Cafe Zorro is your restaurant
