Cool hotel - modern yet upscale. I was there for only one night, but during the Long Beach Grand Prix. I saw a couple of celebrities in the lobby bar, which is small but looks packed when a dozen people are in there. The bed provided good rest, and it was peaceful at night, despite the hotel's location on Pine Ave, where a lot of the festivities took place. The concierge/valet were very courteous and even remembered my name, which was impressive, given the number of guests funneling in and out of the hotel. Centrally located to downtown Long Beach. Pool doesn't look exciting - meaning, if you're going to the pool, you're swimming or sitting in the spa for that reason - not to people-watch. My only other criticism is that the furniture in the lobby area/bar doesn't match at all - polka dot tables with paisley print chairs.
