“Easy stay for Business”

I stayed here for business for three nights. The room was pretty basic but nice and clean. No complaints. The staff was friendly and efficient. Check in was easy and the morning breakfast was good. Nice buffet and regular menu to choose from. The hotel is nicely located to everything near the waterfront and there is a free shuttle if you don't want to walk. Will definitely stay here again.

Check In should have been enough of a warning. No bell hop, not even a cart to load up my own luggage. I was told parking was free and upon reviewing my bill at the end of my stay saw I was charged $17 a day. The front desk young ladies are rude and don't care about customer service. The housekeeping didn't have time to sweep or mop my room, take out trash, clean the mirrors, change the stained towels, because they were busy going through my belongings! I had hidden a pair of diamonds studs, but they got them! Not to mention the Pillows SUCK I've got a stiff neck to prove it.

Excellent Hotel. Rooms very clean. Lobby is very attractive. Staff were very professional and pleasant and ready to assist in anything. Food was very good. Hotel is at a great location, is near to many local restaurants and site seeing or the Free shuttle is available to bus you to nearby stores/restaurants etc.

I stayed at this property over a weekend while visiting friends in Long Beach. While being relatively walkable to bars and restaurants, I would suggest this property for a business or convention visit. After seeing the first room (which seemed damp to a carpet shampoo), I was relocated to a second one with a balcony, but never spent time out there because of a natural gas/oil smell. I did have drinks in the lobby bar, but left due to the ambience and energy relative to other options. In short, business property not weekend getaway.

I've stayed at this location several times and find the staff to be exceptional. Please note, I can't quite make the same statement about the rooms. At a hotel of this level,I'm surprised to find the room having lamps that don't work, bedside phone which is inoperable, and lights that need the bulbs to be replaced. Otherwise, the room was great. Room was super quiet.

Insist that you get coupons for breakfast when you check in. They told us they would deliver these to our room, which seems like an odd practice, and despite a phone call to the desk later that night, never did. Had to make another trip to the desk, and explain again the situation. Bizarre practice.

Note, these rooms do not have refrigerators. You can get one delivered to your room, but cannot request in advance.

Stayed here for several nights during an event at the nearby Convention Center, which was a 10 minute walk. This is a reliable choice for a business hotel, and you can't beat the friendly and helpful staff, who at every turn were smiling and eager to please. Room was very comfortable and stone-quiet. Age of room decor and furnishings was acceptable. Repros of vintage scenes from the "heyday" of Long Beach throughout the room were a neat touch. My only complaints: Despite overall good condition considering the age of the building, the carpet in the sleeping room was really overdue for replacement. That, and the food at the breakfast buffet was "okay" but nothing more. (Admittedly, I didn't take time to ask for cooked-to-order eggs or omelet.) If I had not received it as part of my frequent-guest privilege, I would not have found it worth the price.

Note, the "Passport" free shuttle service (provided by the city) stops just one block from the hotel, and follows a short loop around to the Convention Center, restaurant area, aquarium, and over the bridge to the Queen Mary and back. This was great when my feet were tired at the end of a day at the CC. No need for a car, here!

the hotel was in a convineint location and everything went smoothly. The concierge was very helpful and my check in and out was fast. I've come back to this hotel a few times. It is right off of the freeway and close to everything.
