“Queen Mary”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Very cool from a historical standpoint, but I don't recommend staying overnight. Great viewpoints of the cruise-ships departing, beautiful views. Stayed over one night post-cruiise. Very noisy! Port-holes are so small it really doesn't matter if your room faces the harbour or not, as you can't see much anyway.

“Well worth visiting time and time again!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

I have been coming to the Queen Mary to dine for nearly 35 years, and have never been disappointed. In my opinion, the Sunday Brunch in the main (First Class) dining room is exceptional. The food is consistently good and the variety is unsurpassed. The wait staff do a wonderful job as well, and seem to take great pride in providing excellent customer service. I've never felt rushed during brunch and never left feeling that I did not get my money's worth. I have spent many special occasions at the Queen Mary's Sunday brunch, and plan to do it again in the future! Sunday Brunch on the finest "Cunarder" of all time is a wonderful experience.

I have also dined at the Prom. Cafe and at Sir Winston's. The Prom. Cafe is very nice for lunch and is family friendly. The menu is quite good and the prices are reasonable. THis is a good place to eat if you are visiting/touring the Queen Mary.

Sir Winston's is the Queen Mary's top restaurant, and it is truly exceptional. This is fine dining in the "grand style." Although the menu is somewhat limited, the food is wonderful and the the staff are true professionals. If you are looking for a venue for a very special occasion, I highly recommend Sir Winston's. Yes, its a bit pricey, but so what. Beautiful location, great views, excellent food and attentive staff. It all makes for a memorable dining experience. One more point, Sir Winston's is not really kid friendly. I don't recall any sort of kid's menu here. Also, they do have a dress code of sorts ("Country club casual").

“Brunch in the best Art Deco setting!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

I attended a brunch recently in the Grand Ballroom--it is such a stately spot--art deco everywhere. Lots of food stations, but the harp playing in the background makes this place special. Food is very good--some of it wonderful! Seeing the Diana exhibit is a must! IF you are visiting Long Beach, don't miss it!!!

“Worth trying out!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

I had never stayed on the Queen Mary before my husband and my son brought our son out to California for his first trip there (this is despite the fact that I was raised in Compton and my husband was raised in Long Beach!). We really liked it -- my husband and son got a chance to roam the boat and explore. If you're not interested in that kind of activity, this may not be the hotel experience for you. The restaurants were mixed, but, for the most part, very good! There's one restauarant (I think it's their most high-end one) was a perfect five-star experience! The rooms take some getting used to, but we got into the spirit of things and it turned out well.
