The hotel sits on Long Beach bay with a view of the Queen Mary upstream. The rooms are a nice size, larger than normal but the bathroom was small with no space to put bathroom items. You can tell it is an older hotel that has been refurbished over the years but they have done a great job of keeping it up with nice landscaping. The resturants are nice and at night the hotel seems to come alive with several different area's to enjoy music and conversation. There were two weddings going on while I stayed there and you would never have known. Everyone was very friendly and the pool area was adequate for relaxing and have a drink at the bar. Not all the rooms face the water so make sure you ask for one if you like to sit out on the balcony. If I were to stay one negative, it would be to say the cleaning staff does not do a thorough job. You could see dust, dirt things like that in corners etc. The sidewalks and corridors need a good pressure washing.
