“Wonderful Atmosphere,Great Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Matt,Carson City Nevada..(Using a friends computer)Travel often and stayed here on my way to San Diego quite by chance..Come this way several times a year and will stay here,no question, every time.Staff, especially Emily Knox,so engaging and friendly.Emily has just the sort of warmth that a frequent traveler appreciates when so often away from home. Friendly, empathetic and helpful but most of all,so genuine.Room was clean, updated and comfortable.WiFi flawless, breakfast great.Customer service is an open book test..These guys opened the book. Thanks so much!!

Room Tip: If available go for the rooms with Movie Star Names..Best views facing Mt. Whitney..(Richard Widmark...

We stayed here at our Lone Pine stop while touring the Eastern Sierras. Built as a traditional single-story motel with outside entrances, this complex has been renovated to be up-to-date. Full size flat-screen TV, large rooms, a great breakfast area off the lobby, helpful front desk staff, perfect location just off the highway but far enough off to be quiet. Pool and spa very inviting. Some of our best early morning and late evening photos of the hills were taken from the highway right outside the motel.

I have been staying at the Frontier for roughly 25 years. the rooms have always been clean and well appointed. I have noticed they do a good job of updating an renovating their facilites as well. Most notibly however is a particular Front dest employee, Margarita. In our last two visits she has been most helpful in arranging our accomadations, (multiple rooms,) and seeing that my Father who requires ADA compliant room is always taken care of.
Very refreshing to have this type of service consistantly!!!

Stop here. I've stayed at other motels on the way to Palm Springs. But the rooms here are the best. Ok, everything in Lone Pine is a bit funky, but after the third overnight here, I have to say you can depend on clean and charming rooms. "Splurge" on a king suite that has a jacuzzi. Very roomy with a separate sofa area.

We stayed here for two nights with our dog.

Pros: Affordable. Clean, spacious rooms. Dogs accepted without an extra fee. Working heater, hot water, comfortable beds. Flat screen TV and a mini-fridge. Right off the highway and fairly close to town. Nice view of the mountains from the front of the hotel/lawn area (not from the rooms though). They had rooms available last minute around the holidays and were flexible when we had to cancel our last night because plans changed.

Cons: Heater in our room was extremely loud but had to be run at night because it was December and very cold. Being close to the highway is convenient but ... you do get quite a bit of road noise. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room toward the back of the motel or stay elsewhere. They advertise refrigerators but don't expect full sized ones -- it's a mini fridge.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room toward the back of the motel or stay elsewhere. There...

We stayed here to start our trip into Death Valley. Good place to stay with clean rooms and a decent free breakfast. Internet was also free but it was slow. I would recommend this place as one of the better options in the area.
