“Friendly staff and clean rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for a night as we drove from Yosemite to Death Valley, the staff were friendly and helpful at check in. Rooms were clean and had everything you need. Free wifi was great and we made use of the laudry room. Breakfast was very limited as my boyfriend is gluten free but other than that it was a good place to stay.

Western. If you can stay up the street, I would do that. I have stayed both places, Comfort Inn is run down, smells not great, breakfast weak, A/C broke but was replaced in 30 minutes. Swimming pool murky. Book early at the other place : )

Room Tip: Single rooms are on the back side, better view and quieter.

Thank you for your recent review of our hotel. While we respect your opinion, we also stand by that we are an excellent property to stay at and welcome all future guest to do so! Our breakfast is very well received, and our customer service is 100% as shown by the speed in repairing the A/C unit! Further, the "Run Down" effect may be due to the fact that we are undergoing a hotelwide renovation! But we thank you for your stay!

We wish you a great rest of your 2013!

We just recently stayed 2 separate nights (not consecutively) at the Comfort Inn in Lone Pine. Both nights we slept like babies, especially the night after we hiked Mt. Whitney. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were clean, however, the highlight of our stay were the friendly over accommodating staff. From the moment when we walked in the door until the time of checkout, the staff were there to help and assist with whatever need we had. They were kind enough to hold a bag behind their desk until we arrived back the next night....as we checked out and spent the next night up on Mt. Whitney trail. We will definitely stay here again if we are able to get back to Lone Pine. You won't go wrong booking your stay at the Comfort Inn in Lone Pine!

Room Tip: Book the room facing Mount Whitney. It is an awesome view.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in August. We had a really great stay- we had a room at the back with our own private balcony, looking out onto a grassy garden and the mountains! Each night we watched amazing sunsets from our balcony with the added bonus of a group of really cute little jack rabbits hopping about to entertain us! The room was not huge- but spotlessly clean and really comfortable- bed and pillows fabulous ( I was recovering from a broken elbow and the bed was great!) The town of Lone Pine is just really pretty and has a really authentic Western feel- not over touristy at all and a really nice small size. The road is undeniably busy , which is why we opted for a room at the back, which was very quiet. The rooms at the front however do have the most Amazing views of Mount Whitney ( as does the pool)- so your choice would depend on how road/ traffic sensitive you are (we live in a really quiet place and are hyper sensitive to traffic)- if this isn't a major consideration for you, then the rooms at the front do have stunning views. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter. Would recommend going for a room with a balcony- such a pleasure to s...

We stayed here on our drive from the coast to Las Vegas and enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The guy at the desk was super friendly and gave us some great suggestions for where to eat. We decided to go for Chinese, which was great - see other review for that.
The hotel had free coffee & tea + breakfast was ok.
Rooms were fine - like standard rooms. Would recommend it.

We arrived after aping trek through Death Valley and we greeted and made very welcome. The pool and hot tub were just what we needed.
The room was well appointed and the bed very comfortable.
The service was great and we took advantage of the laundry.
Breakfast was delicious and we were able to sit outside on the terrace to eat and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
A good value stay which I wod thoroughly recommend.
