“Better than camping”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

The Comfort Inn was minimal. It served a breakfast that included one of the waffle machines, hardboiled eggs, cereal and yogurt. The room was okay and beds were clean. Office staff was vary helpful and polite. The young lady knew the area well and was able to give helpful information. Because we were on a work related trip, we had several suitcases and needed an extra luggage holder in the room. It was immediately brought to our room. The view was marvelous of the East Sierras and Mt. Whitney. If you are staying in Lone Pine, this is a fine place to stop and stay, but it is strictly a place to stay. It did have a pool and hot tub, but we didn't have time to use it. Overall there was nothing wrong with the

We had a very good experience at the first Comfort Inn we stayed in, so thought we'd try another one. Obviously, the age of the property makes a difference. Ultimately, this was a decent, comfortable place to stay, but had signs of age (the sheer curtains in our room were torn). Service was friendly and efficient, the room was clean and the free breakfast was decent. There was no elevator, which was a challenge, since we were on the second floor and had a car packed for a 12-day road trip. If you're not too picky, this is is an adequate place to stay.

This comfortable quiet hotel offered a very good breakfast, beautiful views and excellent customer service. Free wireless and very helpful staff. We had just come from Death Valley National Park where the temperatures were around 111 degrees. We were exhausted and worn out. We decided to stay two nights in this little town of Lone Pine and it was a good choice for us. The temperatures were much cooler and we sat on the deck in the mornings to drink our coffee. The view from the deck was beautiful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side of hotel are quieter.

If you're looking for a stay in Lone Pine (great home base for Death Valley), choices are limited. This option is relatively clean and comfortable, and wasn't sketchy as some places inside the park are reputed as being.

Spent 3 nights here. Friendly staff - most helpful. Great motel - nice large rooms, great free breakfast, free wi-fi, free business PC in lobby, Flat Screen TV, Free parking, nice bathroom with amenities, near the Alabama Hills, one hour to Bishop, cost competitive with other motels in the area, very clean and bright looking. Great views of the Sierrra Mountains. 2 hrs from Death Valley.

Management was extremely friendly and helpful. The hide-away bed we requested was already in our room before we checked in. Although a little rustic, the rooms were quiet, very clean and had comfortable beds. Breakfast was all you could eat with a good variety. Great stop between Mammoth and LA with affordable rates.

First time I stayed at Comfort Inn, Lone Pine and was a bit disappointed. Comfort Inn is furthest south in Lone Pine, looks nice, but that's about all. Beds are very firm, pillows are square. The walls and ceiling are paper thin so you can easily hear all your neighbors. Breakfast provided, but thankfully McDonalds is down the road a mile.

Room Tip: First floor rooms with two beds face the street, king beds face East
