We ended up at this hotel by naming our own price on Priceline the day of. It wasn't a place we had previously researched, so we did not have a general idea of what we were getting into, but we were definitely blown away by the grounds, the staff, the rooms, and the breakfast (especially for what we paid in our bid!)
First of all, the hotel is in the shape of a 8, with rooms overlooking two courtyards. One courtyard features a pool and hot tub, and the other features a really nice garden/grotto with fountain and birds. The intersection of the "8" is where the phenomenal breakfast (included in price) is served. Breakfast was a huge buffet topped off with a grill and chef who could make not only omelets, but french toast, home fries, etc. Really impressive and everything tasted restaurant quality.
Our room was spotlessly clean and had a truly nice layout, with a living room separate from the bedroom. Both rooms had a tv, and the living room featured a table, a microwave, and a fridge. The bedroom and bathroom were nicely appointed and the bed/linens were very comfy and high quality.
We had an issue with the heat in our shower, but maintenance was at our door in literally a minute and had fixed everything within 5. Both the evening and morning front desk staff were really pleasant and gave us info about the surrounding area. The hotel was walking distance to a grocery store, several fast food and chain restaurants, and had delivery info in the lobby. Great place to stop on a roadtrip late at night when you really just want comfort and convenience. If you are too tired to venture out they had a well stocked convenience store in the lobby as well.
We couldn't have been more pleased with our bid and would definitely pay more to stay here if we ever come back in town to visit wineries, etc.
