After staying at another hotel in town for 3 days having the room to actually move around the room a bit was a treat. But the rooms really need updating and the maintenance needs some work. We used the tub the night we arrived and could not undo the plug for anything. The heater would only blow cold air as the knob was broken off. The snacks in the evening is a really nice touch and the breakfast was really nice, hot waffles, nice selection, we felt spoiled after the other place we stayed, but the guy who runs breakfast while nice needs to learn a bit about personal space he scared the dickens out of me sneaking into my space. We also had a problem reaching the front desk and ended up walking down to the desk to get things done.

Certainly not a 5* resort, the Days Inn is your average economy hotel for a 2-3 night stay. The continental breakfast (7-10am) was what you'd expect - cereal, bagels, toast, waffles, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. The rooms are very clean, with free wifi, microwave, fridge, coffeemaker, etc. And the location is ideal - central to everything in Lompoc, plus plenty of great restaurants, a convenience store, ATMs within a single block. Personally, I think the 2 star rating it gets is a little low. For the overall value, I'd give it 3-4 stars and I'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It's definitely not a 5* resort, but if you're looking for a clean place to hang your hat for the night, this place can't be beat for the value. I'll definitely be back. And don't miss "Thai Fast Food" across the street! It's a little hole in the wall with only a few tables out front, but the food is fantastic and the owners are very friendly.
