This had become my parents’ favorite place to eat after church, however, not anymore. Strings offered a deal where if you purchased X amount of gift certificates they would give you X plus more for spending so much money. Example: spend 200 dollars on certificates; Strings will give you an additional 50 dollar certificate. Fine at first, 8 guest and my folks would use 3 gift certificates worth 50 dollars each towards the meal. Then Strings started refusing to accept their own gift certificates, even though it was not printed on the certificate that only one could be used per visit. Strings manager told my folks they could only use one gift certificate per visit. Strike One!
String makes no entrees there; everything you order comes in a pouch that they heat up. They changed the salad and the breadstick to lettuce and oily dough. We were getting sick off the food; either an upset stomach or diarrhea. Pretty soon my folks couldn't get anyone to eat with them even for a free meal because we all got sick from the food. Strike Two!
Service was usually good except for refills. But it doesn’t matter unless you’re constipated and need a good cleansing. Strike Three!
