“Great way to taste a variety of wines...!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

We found Lodi to be a lovely surprise recently, with a charming downtown area and at least 40 wineries in the area. We started off by visiting the Lodi Wine & Visitor Center, which offered tastes of several wines from the area. The cost was very reasonable, we bought a couple bottles we liked, and the host was very informative and helpful. I also found a couple of nice small gifts for friends there. We recommend it as a way to get acquainted with the area...!

“we visited downtown Lodi on a Sunday - ouch!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We drove up from the SF east Bay Area to check out the wineries located in downtown Lodi. We were really surprised how different this town feels from Napa, Sonoma, and Livermore. While some people were extremely dog friendly, like Karen at the cheese shop, we found the wineries that were open to not be dog friendly. There were some quaint shops that we wished were open; including antique shops. Many were closed tight on Sundays. We had anticipated doing some wine tasting but came away with a different taste in our mouths. Word of advice - if you're going to downtown Lodi, don't go on a Sunday and think about leaving your dog at home :(.

Great place to start if new to Lodi. Large selection of local wine. They also have gifts, maps, wine club discounts. Very friendly staff. The LoCa Road Trip was a blast !!! We can hardly wait go again next year. Ask about it when you visit.

“Friendly and helpful staff, they will help you navigate Lodi”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 29, 2012

Lodi was my number one wine destination in California, unfortunately we only had an hour to spend here. Stopped here to get a broad view of the area for the group I was with. Nice thing about this place is the staff is very helpful, a lot of them know the local wineries and are glad to help you find them. Not a bad tasting, good intro to Lodi wine country.

“Nice facility but they could do so much more”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2012

This was our first stop in the area, and we enjoyed their tasting flight. However we were expecting so much more given the publicity. We were hoping for more of an interpretive experience with much more enthusiasm expressed for the area. The information available for the appellation, community and wineries was just not there. There was a good selection of wines, but I could have gone to a store for that. We were looking for something that would get us more enthused for our upcoming wine tasting experience planned for the next 3 days but we left feeling disappointed.
