The tasting room is in a funky, no frills building. Once inside, it gets very regimented. You line up to pay--5.00 for about ten wines, and $10.00 for five or six of what they consider their better wines. I took the $5.00 tasting and skipped the whites. The arrangement is three tables in a U-shape and you proceed from one wine to another, while the pourers remain stationary. Unlike a reviewer from 2012, I found the staff friendly, not uptight.
I ended up purchasing six bottles, mixed. The wines were good-to-very good, virtually all blends, and nothing over $27.00. Tasting fee refunded, and they let me taste all the wines in the $10.00 fee section as well. They have no retail distribution.
There's a picnic area, very rustic
I'd definitely return, especially since they have a new winemaker, who may have a different philosophy.
