This gem on the Mendocino Coast is family owned and the menu changes with the season and, I assume, the chef. My wife and I make this our ritual stop for dinner on the first and last nights of our stay in the area. We seldom eat in the dinning room, which has great atmosphere, but opt for a seat at the bar. The energy is high and the bar is filled with locals and tourists, all laughing and enjoying the food and drink. I recommend either the fish and chips or the steamer clams. They had a warm spinach salad on the menue that was my favorite, but it has disappeared. From the bar, the view over the ocean is breathtaking and romantic. If you stay at the inn, there are several choices for accommodations. The inn has lots of parking and a majority of the guests are returnees. There is a nine hole golf course on the property, but I can not speak to that as I do not golf. Bon appetite.
