This hotel is all about Scott and Marie and the realisation of their dream to make breakfasts. As guests we felt incidental to this, and everything else about the hotel suffers as a result. The 'hosts' only appear to be there for the breakfasts. We were not checked in by them and did not meet them until the 'main event'. Which by the way was over-priced and disappointing. It may claim to be the best breakfast for 30 miles but there is precious little competition. In addition it is from 8.30 -9.30 so if you want an early start as we did one day (the main part of the park is over an hour away) I suggest you try 'Buckaroo's', a little place down the road that makes the best freshly cooked cinnamon rolls ever. The pool and hot tub are lovely, but the rooms are in dire need of redecoration. Our room sloped so much it was almost impossible to stay in the bed. The air conditioning is ancient, very loud and intermittent. We had to turn it off and open a window. The main point of a hotel is to give a good night's sleep and this failed totally. The hotel is let down by small things like cheap shampoo sachets, shared hairdryers. Also if you are expecting a private bathroom as the website claims be prepared for the fact that several rooms have the bath/toilet at the side of the bedroom, not in a separate room - awkward if sharing with a friend.
