“In a gas station?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2013

Well, it's a shock to find the Whoa Nellie Deli inside a gas station.

The food wasn't amazing (we'd heard some hype) if we're honest, the "world famous" fish tacos weren't as good as ones we ate not (that) far away in Boulder.

Still, if you're passing and you're hungry, why not?

“Its still in a gas station”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2013

One year later and its sliding....the "famous meatloaf" appeared to be acquired frozen from a factory right down to the prefab grill marks and was dry...really? Dry meatloaf? The port wine sauce was weak onion soup. The mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box....probably did. Will not visit again despite yearly visits to the area. Nicelys was far more satisfying...better yet, fill up on the burgers at the Barn in Bridgeport before you get to Lee Vining.

“Great little find”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

We ate here the day it closed for the winter - glad we did - good, honest food for really good prices and friendly banter in the restaurant too.

“Best Food In Town”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 6, 2013

They offer the best food in town. What it lacks in atmosphere it makes up in selection. It is located in the Mobile gas station, just east of 395 on Rt. 120.

“great roadside cafe, unfortunately closed for the winter”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013

Fun little cafe, good roadside food. We had the lobster taquitos and fish tacos. Food was way above the cafe average, approaching restaurant quality and inventiveness. And the view of Mono Lake is outstanding. Unfortunately, they closed today until next spring for the winter season ;-(
