I've lived in the AV for more than 12 years but never stopped at Foxy's until the other night. First of all it isn't a chain which already makes me a little happy. Leave that sort of generic, processed fare for those in Valencia. This is a mom and pop hole in the wall in the middle of the desert. The decor is cowboy and on weekend nights it's usually packed - especially the bar. This place is mostly for locals, people from Willow Springs Raceway, Fox Field and Edwards AFB. Lot's of the over 40 crowd.
The food is really good and the drinks are better. I had shrimp which was good (not great but I'm from the South where we have Gulf Shrimp). My date had the lamb chops which were prepared to perfection. I just had a beer but my date had a Patron Margarita which was great and STRONG. Veggies were plain but fresh (not frozen) steamed. I had rice which was so-so and she had a baked potato which is hard to mess up.
It's kind of expensive for being in the middle of no where. Service was good - not great.
We will be back from time to time.
