As a long time resident of Lake Arrowhead, I only heard good things from "flatlanders" staying at the Saddleback Inn. Now that i live far far away, I reflected on all of the good thing i had heard and stay on a regular basis! The Saddleback Inn is "All That and More"! Diane and her friendly competent staff are always aiming to Please! After a long drive from the San Diego area, I look forward to a rich glass of Pinot Noir and their famous Chicken Pot Pie! The Pear/Gorgonzola Salad is a great starter...followed by a starry evening sky on my private deck, then into the jacuzzi tub custom made for Mermaids!
You would need to pay me to stay anywhere else on the mountain! <3

If you want a nice quiet getaway, visit The Saddleback Inn in Lake Arrowhead. Their rates are reasonable for what you get, particularly if you stay Sunday thru Thursday. A full breakfast is included in the price of your room. All rooms come with a small refrigerator, fireplace and jacuzzi spa tub. The rooms are small but perfectly cozy for two people. There is a very nice restaurant and bar on the premises, so you can have a delicious meal, a couple of drinks and just walk back to your room. This is a quiet mountain inn near the entrance to Lake Arrowhead Village (within walking distance). Note: no swimming pool or fitness center.

They really try hard here. This hotel is just up from the lake and village but has no view of the lake. If you need a view do the Lake Arrowhead Resort. The best rooms are the cabins with a deck. Cabins 22 and 23 overlook the parking lot but are still enjoyable as you watch all the comings and goings. Cabin 24 has a nice secluded deck. More expensive cabins that had great decks were 26, 27 and 28. Many cabins have a whirpool tub that easily fits two. Another plus of a deck is that there is a 7/11 in the hotel parking lot where you can pick up a bottle of wine or cup of coffee. The Inn has is a very good restaurant and bar that attracts the locals. A hot breakfast is included. The hotel website has a very good descriptions of the various rooms and cabins.

We love this place. The rooms have larger stepup jacuzi tubsand fireplaces. Nicely decorated. Its walking distance from the village. They have a delisious full breakfast buffet included. The restraunt is clean and comfortable. The gentleman who runs it and the bar is a gentleman of yesteryear. The bar offers some evening entertainment. We enjoy our stays here imensely! They're just a little pricey.
