“Great for mountain biking or a walk”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

This is a suburban park but feels like entering a bit if wilderness. It's a canyon formed by Aliso Creek, whuch flows to the sea a short distance away. There are good mountain biking trails, and the area is very popular for biking and walking. There is a small fee at the parking area. Then you travel about 1/4 mile on a paved raid before the pavement ends and you hit the trail. The trail eventually forks to the right or continues straight. The best area is to the right, with a small cave to explore and some longer trails. I've never seen a snake or mountain lion here, but they are around. Those house high above you are part of the "Top of the World" in Laguna Beach. You cannot access the ocean from here.

“Lots of open space”

Good walking trails with lots of open space. The childrens playground called top of the world is great with some fantastic views. My Grandson loves it up there.

“Ok but flat”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 22, 2013

We were staying in laguna Niguel and rented a car so we could hike in Aliso & Wood Canyons Park. It was very very difficult to find it but finally we got there. We decided we would walk 1 hour & then turned around & come back. The was was flat, not much terrain variety. One exciting thing: we saw a bobcat...but he wasn't intersted in us (thank god!)

We didn't go up to the "top of the world" ...probably should have because it was highly recommended but we ran out of time. hike was ok but not much. there were lots of people mountain biker...probably better idea than walking

lots of individuals walking alone...i'm guessing they lived close by?

“Beauty in your backyard!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This is a beautiful Wilderness park that is basically in our backyard. There are walking trails that lead down to the beach in South Laguna Beach. Several of the vista's are breathtaking. If you go during the warmer months, it's a good idea to have walking stick. Many of the trails are made of dirt and others are paved, but you might run across a little thing they call "Snake. And not the ones that make good pets. Remember this is a Wilderness park with Deer, Bobcats, Snakes and many other critters, but it is definitely worth taking the time for a Bike ride or early Saturday morning hike. Some of the hills will give you a workout....and don't forget to bring a camera, you won't be disappointed. Happy hiking...... :)
