This is a suburban park but feels like entering a bit if wilderness. It's a canyon formed by Aliso Creek, whuch flows to the sea a short distance away. There are good mountain biking trails, and the area is very popular for biking and walking. There is a small fee at the parking area. Then you travel about 1/4 mile on a paved raid before the pavement ends and you hit the trail. The trail eventually forks to the right or continues straight. The best area is to the right, with a small cave to explore and some longer trails. I've never seen a snake or mountain lion here, but they are around. Those house high above you are part of the "Top of the World" in Laguna Beach. You cannot access the ocean from here.
