Check in was very quick and efficent, easy parking which is plus in Laguna Beach. Room was clean and ready on time.

THe only downside was that the air conditioning placement behind the desk caused it to cycle on and off all night. Little noisy.

Tub held two very nicely

Room Tip: ROoms off the PCH defintly more quite

Thank you for staying with us, Ken! Aren't those in-room whirlpool spa wonderful? And the complimenatry parking space can really save you money from so many of the hotels that will charge a mandatory $30-40-50 per night. We hope to see you again soon!

The website says: “Our richly appointed, newly decorated and fully air-conditioned guestrooms abound with the lavish conveniences and luxurious comforts designed to ensure your visit to Laguna Beach is a memorable one. Relax in your own in-room, king-sized whirlpool spa for two…” and under Guestroom Amenities it lists: “Private, over-sized whirlpool spas”, so my wife and I were looking forward to doing exactly that – relaxing in our in-room spa. Well, there was none; just a typical tiny cramped regular bath/shower. When we questioned the staff, they said they didn’t know where we got the idea from that the room would have its own spa, even though the person we talked to on the phone before making the booking re-iterated that the rooms had a spa tub, and the website went overboard with lengthy descriptions, etc etc.
On top of that disappointment the hotel – which calls itself “Las Brisas SPA Hotel” had a sign on the front desk that their outdoor spa was out of service indefinitely for “resurfacing” (even though the cordoned-off spa had water in, working lights, and from a distance the surface of the spa looked fine). The website mentioned nothing of this, so our disappointment over not having a spa in the room was doubled, as there was no spa available to us at all.
When we communicated our disappointment to the front desk staff their attitude was simple – take it or leave it, we are fully booked and sold out and the room we had been assigned was the only one they had. On top of that, we had two bikes on a carrier on our car, and we inquired to see if we could store them somewhere, but the staff were unhelpful with that request too, other than a suggestion that we store them on the balcony in our room, which seemed reasonable, except, when we got into our room, there was no balcony!
Once we realized we would have to “take it” we buckled down and got on with making the best of things. The room was of adequate size, the large bed was a plus. The air conditioner was noisy but at least it blocked the traffic noise from the Pacific Coast Hiway, which our room overlooked, despite requesting a room in the back of the facility as advised by several fellow Trip Advisor reviewers.
The breakfast was better than expected, with hot eggs etc. The “Sunset Deck” was spacious and we were able to watch the sun set, aided by a glass of champagne, and the views of the Pacific Ocean. In the morning we took a short walk along the beach – this place is in a good location for that.

Room Tip: Be sure you know what you will get before signing up - the hype on the website did not apply to the...

Thank you for taking the time to write. I am sorry to hear of your experience at our beautiful property. Thank you for your suggestion to ask specifics about your accommodations when making a reservation as we have quite a variety or shapes, sizes and amenities available. We do have a very few rooms which do not have the in room whirlpool spa which may have been what was reserved in your case. Additionally, some rooms do have patios or balconies while others do not....

Overall a nice hotel, with jacuzzi's in the spacious rooms. A bit too far to walk downtown, bur there are some restaurants nearby. Very close to the beach.

Breakfast is basic and everything comes wrapped in plastic, but this is common to all BW properties in the US.

Room Tip: If you ask for the top floors some rooms have partial ocean view.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the BEST WESTERN PLUS Laguna Brisas Spa Hotel. Yes! The beach access is right across the street. Thank you for your mention, too, of the surrounding restaurants (and eclectic shops and art galleries). Things to know: Laguna Beach is a top resort location, the beach is one of the best in California, the hotel is on the east side of the coast highway which means you'll have to go to the deck on the 4th floor to see the ocean, its a short walk to the beach from the hotel, and most importantly, the staff is helpful and curteous. This is an excellent choice if price is a consideration. An open your window after 10:00 pm and you'll hear the waves crash on the beach.

Room Tip: There are great happy hour values in Laguna; ask at the desk.

We had a 3rd floor room with a partial ocean view, which was as good as it gets due to the road and other hotels being between us and the sea. However, we could see the ocean and waves breaking, so no complaints.
the hotel is about 1.5 miles out from the centre of Laguna beach, which is a nice walk along the beach, and is surrounded by good restaurants and art galleries, also there is a nice Ralphs supermarket about half a mile away.
There is free underground parking at the hotel with access to the lobby. The hotel feels a little old, with carpets, lift, pool area etc looking tired, the rooms are quite dark but spacious and comfortable. Our room came with a huge spa bath as well as shower and bathtub, and a nice balcony, although all rooms on the floor share the same elongated balcony around the property. The staff are friendly and efficient, there is free coffee in the lobby and a good free breakfast in the morning . The pool is small but clean, and the top floor has a nice sun terrace with decent views across to the ocean. It can be noisy due to the traffic, but overall this is a really good value hotel, with spacious comfortable rooms in a nice part of town, and for our 2 night stay was perfectly good.

Thank you for your recent stay with us. We are delighted you found us! Our hotel is very "Laguna-esque" as all rooms are different shapes and sizes with many to choose from. It sounds like yuo may have been in one of the rooms 301-304. This is the ONLY section of rooms (4 rooms total) with a connecting balcony. The other rooms on the front of the building all have a private balcony or patio (except for one) and the quiter rooms on the opposite side of the front have no balcony at all (generally). See what we mean? A call to the hotel prior to your visit can help us deliver our guest's expectations. We hope to see you again soon!

Average hotel in a great location. In general, I guess Laguna Beach is expensive, if you can secure a discounted rate - do so. I attended a wedding and spent a considerable amount of time across the street and at various restaurants and bars. If you are looking for amenities, this is not the hotel but it definitely has LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!! Moreover, one can nab amenities from the local businesses down the street or the resort across the way. Very close to the beach and a nice walk to the center of Laguna.
