We stayed in this fabulous town, and chose La Casa after friends checked it out for us. The Bistro is fantastic and the roof bar a real 'must see'. We did note some negatives when checking reviews, and it is true the hotel can be noisy at times and the room we had, a Queen partial view, was small. We are Europeans and used to this but if you want plenty of room check out other rooms.
Staff were friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Short 10 minute walk to the centre and a quiet beach nearby. Would stay again.

My wife and I stayed here one night during our honeymoon last week. It was an unforgettable experience from the service we received, to the room itself, to the amazing view and lunch on The Rooftop. It was an amazing location and we can't to go back again!

My boyfriend and I stayed here last year during my spring break (which is early march) and I just booked my second stay for August. The location was great; stairs leading down to a secluded beach, good restaurants and coffee shops with all sorts of selections, shopping was not far as well as galleries. We thought the walk to go hiking just north of town was not to far either, but yet again I'm from NYC and walk everywhere. I advise you to wake up early enough to grab some complimentary breakfast since it has such a nice variety. While in laguna we went kayaking and got a cheap taxi down to dana's warf to go whale watching. They also have local buses which we took back but I had too much anxiety about the timing heading there. Even though there is no pool (who needs it with an ocean) and on the weekend it got a little loud at night from the rooftop and restaurant attached I cannot wait to come back!

My girl friend and I shared our 5 year Anniversary here at La Casa del camino, Which is an amazing place. Right away the customer service was on point. They made everything easy and run smoothly. We were greeted by DAMIEN at the front desk. Very nice gentleman. He let us know everything about the place and surrounding eateries. This hotel is 100 feet from the ocean. Also when we wanted to go to the beach, they set up chairs, Umbrella and towels for us right on the sand. Perfect! I would definitely come here again. Thank you Damien and staff for making our stay pleasant.

Room Tip: Spanish room was legit

I am very excited to write this review for La Casa del Camino. We only stayed there one night (a Friday night) but we wished we had spent our entire vacation there. We were greeted by two extremely helpful young gentlemen at the check-in desk and advised of all of the amenities. We had a queen bed room on the third floor with a balcony and partial view of the ocean (one of the spanish style rooms). It was fabulous! We loved the romance of the room (lots of dimmer switches on the candle-lights) and I personally loved the sealed welcome envelope with my name printed on the outside. Such a nice touch. There is also a lovely bathroom with a stone shower, copper sink, etc. that we loved and we sat out on the porch and watched all of the cars/people go by as it was a very active Friday night.

It is true that you can hear the music from downstairs up in the room, but it only lasts until about 10-10:30pm. For a night out in Laguna, I felt it was very reasonable. It is also very easy to find a comfortable temperature between the option to have the windows/door to porch open or closed, a portable AC unit, and a ceiling fan. The beds are extremely comfortable with plenty of pillows. The soaps and lotions provided in the rooms are top notch.

Other pros: view of the beach, they will bring towels and chairs down to the beach for you, and a great place to go upstairs for breakfast with a breathtaking view. Everyone was extremely laid back and friendly.

I don't have ANY cons! We loved every moment. Thank you, La Casa!

Stayed here Wed through Sunday and this hotel has a lot of great things going for it. The rooms are basic but they're clean and the beds are comfortable. We did receive excellent service from all the staff. The hotel is very close to the steps down to the beach and they will bring chairs, towels and umbrellas down to the beach for you. The rooftop deck bar is amazing and it is the hot spot in town. You'll have to wait for a table but it's worth it for the view. If you're a guest of the hotel they can sometimes reserve you a table. Location is perfect as most everything in Laguna Beach is within walking distance. They have a free breakfast in the morning which is quite good.

The hotel can be a little loud at night so if you're an early to bed kind of person this might not be the best place.

Overall this was a great experience and I would stay here again.

Check in was a bit messy ( as they had a wedding being set up) ,but after 3 hours our room was ready.Quit expensive but very quaint.Rooms ( ours was an Ocean view suite).Staff very, very friendly and nice.Rooftop bar was the major draw to people watch.Everyone up there talks to you ,Bartenders Pete,Ian and Brian ( could be Ryan) are all great and happy to include you in with other bar patrons.Lots of locals hang there. This property is just steps from the beach so early morning walks are perfect. Breakfast is included in the room price and very good.Driving there from Palm Springs was under 2 hours, but the toll roads in/out are a nightmare to pay...you must buy a pass in advance as they are not manned..took 45 mins on line and phone calls to pay when we got home ( $17.50)..if we had left it very big fines. They have very inexpensive food and drinks at the hotel,so it made up for the hotel room rate..We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Don't book the suites with ocean view as our view was from the very tiny bathroom.. unless we hu...

Thank you for your review of your recent stay. We are sorry to hear of your toll-road frustrations on the way to visit Laguna Beach! They are certainly a little faster than the regular freeways, but if you call our concierge, we can help you find a route to Laguna Beach that does not require you to use the toll roads! Thank you for choosing to stay with us... we hope to see you both again soon!
