On a recent visit to Laguna Beach, we were taken by locals to Micki's Sushi Fusion. The restaurant is small, only serving 20 people at a time. They don't take reservations, so we had to get there early for a table, but it was worth it! We had an incredible meal off of their specials menu for the night - the highlight was the halibut and tuna on watermelon. Don't ask for soy sauce, except for your edamame. You won't miss it, though, as the owner creates special sauces for each of her dishes. All of her dishes are unique and I looked forward to each dish as it came to the table, perfectly timed so that you ate your order in a prescribed sequence of flavors. This is a restaurant even those who don't love sushi will enjoy.
