Myself and 3 friends stayed at The Tides last night for our annual friends retreat. The staff couldn't be more friendly. Parking was free and they are within walking distance of a few shops, galleries, Starbucks and Main Beach. Our room was very nice but small with 2 queen beds. The shower was tiny but lots of water pressure and hot water. The room had a coffee maker and a small fridge. The sheets were great if you care about that. The staff set up a fire in the fireplace in the beautiful pool area we could light after dinner. There is comfy furniture to enjoy the fire and sound of the pool fountain. Free wifi. I didn't give a 5 star rating because there is always room for improvement and there is street noise. They do have earplugs in the room in case you need them. Thanks for a great stay. I would come back.

The owners are the nicest people. The location was great. Right across the street from Heisler park which is perfect for strolling along the beautiful paths overlooking the ocean and main beach. The room was older, which was fine but I found the bed to be "springy" which caught me off guard. It made me miss my own bed a little. All in all it was a really nice stay at one of our favorite beaches.

Last week we returned from a week's stay at the Tides. We don't usually stay in one place for this long, but loved it so much, we wished we had several more days! It was our first trip to SoCal, and Laguna Beach was the perfect spot from which to explore, anywhere from Los Angeles to San Diego. The Tides was also the perfect spot in LB. You are within easy walking distance (a bit hilly) of downtown and its restaurants, breathtaking Heisler Park (beaches!!), a good grocery store, the art museum and many galleries. The Inn itself is charming, the owners fun, helpful and welcoming. While it was too cool to use the pool, we spent time in the sun there, protected from the breeze. If we had wanted it, a stone fireplace was ready to use, as was an outdoor barbecue and refrigerator. We were in lovely Room 204, which is bright and open, with a full kitchen. Yes, the noise of the PCH was there, but the complimentary earplugs took care of it nicely, not to mention the best hotel bed I've ever slept in. Parking is tight, but sufficient.

We fell in love with Laguna Beach and will definitely return. We will again make The Tides Inn our home away from home. Thanks, Dale, Linda, Judy and Joe, for all of your recommendations and guidance.

I just returned from 5 great days in Laguna, and the Tides Inn was the perfect place to stay.
It was within walking distance of everything I needed, including a great grocery store. A short
walk to beautiful Heisler park, the gateway to the long wonderful beach and the main part of town. The managers Joe and Judy were wonderful and helpful, and I hope to return soon with my wife. (wish we could bring our dog, but he is too big for the plane)
