“Great day at the beach”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2013

Crystal Cove SP is a must-do when visiting the area. Beautiful beach, great views, lots of room so that you don't feel crowded even when there are a lot of other visitors. We saw surfers, scuba divers, and plain old beach bums like ourselves. If the $15 entrance fee is an issue, I think that, like many of the local parks, hourly parking is available Monday--Thursday. If not, $15 is a bargain for the opportunity to walk on the wonderful beach. When leaving, head south a bit and try the famous Shake Shack. Yummy!

“ONE OF THE BEST BEACHES”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2013

Gorgeous beach just a short distance from New Port Beach,
clean, clear water, park benches and we got to see Sea Lions
in the waves. Very, very nice place to chill...

“Beachcomber Restaurant ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

Why Trip Advisor doesn't have separate reviews for the restaurant is sad. This is a special place, it is always packed and considering what a hassle it is to get there is representative of the great experience you can have there. The Beachcomber is a must, with or without reservations, just spend a little extra time walking on one of the finest beaches in CA.

“First California Beach Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Crystal Cove State Park was my first California beach experience, and it was impressive. The views were remarkable. The sand warm beneath my feet, the water chilling. The beach was empty, and my friend and I were able to have our own area uninterrupted for long periods of time. The park fee was more expensive then what I am used to ($15.), but it was well worth the day pass. The bathrooms and changing areas were clean and well taken care of for a park. We were there at high tide, so we missed the tide pools, but it still made for a great day. If I end up in the area again, I would love to visit at low tide.

“Quiet beach in OC”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2013

This is a great beach for visitors to the OC. It's clean and has fewer crowds than the other beaches in the area. There is a $15 fee to get into the parking area which is a short walk to the beach. There is a nice restaurant right on the beach which will validate your parking if you eat there! Great place overall to avoid the crazy beach crowds.
