“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2010

Stayed here one night in November on a way to L.A.
Overall very nice "inn" > although pictures on their website look slightly better than the reality.

Anyway, our room was very ok: comfortable and big bed, little kitchenette (with coffee machine!!), bathroom and balcony with sea view. Breakfast basket was included in the price. Free parking and free internet at the lobby. VERY helpful staff.

Hotel is just few steps from the beach and beautiful Heisler Park. Would also recommend excellent Las Brisas mexican seafood restaurant nearby!

We just checked out after 2 nights at the Laguna Cliffs Inn and wish we cuould have stayed longer.
Our room was clean and very comfortable. They had placed a breakfast basket in the room prior to arrival which was a nice suprise.
Every one of the employees we spoke with were friendly and helpful, from the Housekeepers (please remember how hard they work and leave a tip!) to the Front Desk Staff.
The location was outstanding, close enough to walk to several restaurants and downtown.
We have stayed at several hotels in Laguna, looking for the one that we feel has the best value, service & location. We have finally found it and will be returning several times yearly.

Arrived early to find cleaning crew working on preparing the rooms. They left the doors open so that the rooms would air out. They do an excellent job keeping this place in good shape. We inquired about upgrading to an upper floor room with a view of the water and were allowed to do so for $10 /night and also checked in early @ 1:30. All the rooms were clean and nice, but the top floor rooms have a slight water view, which is preferable. Pool/hot tub were very clean. The snack basket was delivered @ 3pm with 2 water bottles, 1 orange juice, apple, orange, bananna, 2 granola bars and 1 cheese danish. We used the 2 robes to go to the hot tub. It is about 7 minutes to walk to town and main beach. They are very accomodating at the front desk and I would for sure stay here on my next trip to Laguna Beach.

The staff are really friendly, with great service and the hotel has a warm atmosphere.
Yummy home-made cookies and good coffee in the reception every day.
Super-clean, comfortable (and big) room with nice details, great sheets and lovely soaps!
Perfect temperature on the pool and jacuzzi, and you can see much more of the ocean than I was expecting.
Its right near the centre of town too - convenient for getting around on foot.
The kind of hotel that you look forward to returning to at the end of a day.

The greatest asset of this establishment are their staff! THE TRIPLE K'S: Kathy, Kattie and Kaylina are amazing hosts and genuinely care about being accommodating to your stay at Laguna Cliffs Inn! Can't say enough about the great people who work here, who are making my current stay here an absolute pleasure.

Not to mention, they have large well appointed contemporary style rooms that are clean with great views of the ocean-line from both the front porch and the rear window! The view from the Bathroom in which I stayed in is a pleasure to wake up to every morning.

Complimentary Breakfast Baskets complete with drinks, cookies, snacks and fresh fruit are delivered to your doorstep every morning! Totally unnecessary but makes a big difference to start off your day!

The location is fantabulous, Heistler Park is literally like their backyard where you get amazing views of Laguna Beach! Brunch at Las Brisas, just steps from Laguna Cliffs Inn offers amazing food with great views of the ocean. Had an Ahi Tuna Burger there which was delish!

Avoid places like the Surf and Sand, where it's pretentious, excruciatingly expensive, along with a Staff that is utterly clueless. Book The Laguna Cliffs Inn instead, save your money and have a better, more warm and welcoming stay! Word.

I would recommend this cute hotel. we stayed for a week and were very happy. we had a view room upstairs with a balcony. everything we had requested. the staff is great. We were even driven down to san clemente by Bob after he heard we were gonna hop on a bus down there. I had read many reviews before choosing this hotel. One of the many comments was how comfy the bed was. It was so nice not to wake up with back pain for the whole week we were there!!! we got a great rate...can't afford a $400 beach room...but I looked out the window each morning to the beautiful site of water and I could hear the surf at night. Coffee in the room , the fridge, the basket of goodies and personalized cleaning service was everything we could have asked for. May I recommend the cliff restaurant GREAT view for breakfast. & BAR NONE TWO OF THE BEST HAPPY HOURS ON THE PLANET...the rooftop lounge and the k'ya restaurant. DON'T ASK, JUST GO!!!! this hotel is about 8 min walk down to the main drag and a 18 min walk to the k'ya. we put about 50 miles on ur flipflops while there. I spose if I have to say a negative thing...hard to do, is the shower head is a bit low if you are tall and water gets on the floor. and really WHO CARES! go to laguna cliffs inn and have a great time.

We looked at a bunch of hotels online before we chose Laguna Cliffs Inn. I just want to say that any people who had a bad time at this hotel had to be whiner/complainers in general. Really. Because this hotel definitely does everything to make sure that you are taken care of. We really felt like they paid attention to detail (ie: extras in the room like a basket with fruit, etc, or fresh baked cookies in the lobby- how good is that?). The pool, jacuzzi and sauna were great. We could easily see the ocean and the faraway coast from our room window. The fact that you can't see the beach down below, because of a few buildings, didn't matter at all since you could walk to the beach in about 3 minutes! Easy parking. Downtown Laguna is a stones throw away. Etc. We will definitely be back. Awesome hotel! ~Dan Duderino / Saint Barbara, California
