“great stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2013

My husband and I went to Laguna beach last July. We stayed at the Laguna Cliffs Inn. It was a great little hotel. The staff was great and the rooms were very roomy. Our room had a quaint little private balcony. It was right around the corner for the beach and we were able to see the water from the hotel balcony.
There was not room service or resturant on the property. Which is not that important because there are places to eat all over Laguna beach.
We will be back definitley.

The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was modern, air conditioned (not so common in Laguna), comfortable and clean. Free coffee, tea and water in the lobby and the welcome basket in the room were nice touches. We enjoyed the stay very much.

First off, this is more of a motel which I am not very comfortable with as I mostly travel with just myself and 1 or 2 of my girls (12 and 15) That said, the crime rate in Laguna is lower than low so I wasn't going to sweat it. We had a lovely king bedded room with a little balcony with a very nice view. This property is a decent walk (5 or so blocks) to the Main Beach or the town but is right on Heisler Park. The room and bathroom were nice and clean and the sink was outside the shower/commode area so that was a convenience. There was a table in the room, a few drawers and an armoire for hanging items. The breakfast basket had granola bars and oatmeal and there was coffee or tea available at all times in the lobby. This is not a 5 star property but it is lovely in so many ways. There is a true value here. The biggest asset this property has is it's employees. They were wonderful one and all. I have traveled fairly extensively and I can honestly say that I have never felt so welcomed and been so impressed by a hotel's desire to keep their guests as happy as humanly possible. I would certainly recommend this property to a friend.

This hotel is quite the wonderful experience! Located on the cliffs of Laguna beach,California, and close to shopping, walking and dining, what more could one ask for. The hotel is near a park that has a wonderful Yoga class at 10am each for a donation. Peaceful, beautiful and can be very romantic if you are with the right person!

Peaceful, beautiful and a wonderful experience were you words. Thank you so much for those words!

It sounds like you really enjoyed Hesiler Park behind us and slipped in Yoga By The Whale on the cliff tops.

Thank you for choosing our little inn!

We stayed here for a 3 days in August 2013. Hotel is directly off the Pacific Highway, but we didn't have any road noise. Most of the rooms were quite set back from the road. We were on the lower level of rooms which had a small balcony; some of the top level may have a sea view - worth checking. It is a very convenient place, not fancy, but everything works and the staff are helpful. It is a very easy walk to the beaches and the coastal pathway... aswell as the restaurants downtown. Staff were very helpful and friendly, making suggestions and giving advice on getting around. There is a small pool in the central courtyard. You can park for free. It was a nice touch that you borrow beach umbrellas and light chairs and carry them down to the nearby beach. There was also coffee, tea and a few snacks available in reception aswell as a welcome box in the room. This was the last placed we stayed in California and one of the best; Could have happily stayed a few more days.

Thank you for choosing our inn as one of the best places you stayed on your special vacation!

We appreciate you detailing the tidbits for all to enjoy, including our team!

Our guests do share with us that we are the most quiet hotel in Laguna Beach as the guestrooms are away from the road and the courtyard open to the ocean. I am glad you enjoyed the quiet aspect.

We hope to see you again when you return to Laguna!

This is the cutest little place! It is in a great location. We went to the Pageant of the Masters and it was walking distance. The beds are ridiculously comfortable. There is a little balcony, which was nice to hang out on. Walking distance to the beach. The staff is wonderful and very welcoming. A great boutique hotel. The rooms were slightly small and the bathroom while very clean, needs to be updated.

Room Tip: I would try to get the top floor, so you can see the beach.

Stayed for two nights on our way from SD to LA. All staff members were extremely friendly and eager to please. The room was spacious, clean and the king bed was very comfortable. Easy access to the center of town with a short walk or you could just catch the free trolly a block from the hotel. The beach was only right around the block and the chairs and umbrella the hotel offers made it even better. Besides my disappointment with ocean view room listed below I definitely recommend this hotel for your stay in Laguna Beach.

Room Tip: Not sure if it was worth the extra money getting a room with an ocean view as it was a bit disappoin...
