okay...so the paint is worn, the upholstery is torn .... but when you turned the key, that engine was sweet!
Laguna Beach Inn was a true find. Not because their was a concierge waiting for me at the front door, bellmen to take my luggage, fresh flowers in the room...none of these...however, this is a rating given because at the end of the day, why do you ned a hotel? A bed ..and a good bed. That's what I got at Laguna Beach Inn. Clean bathrooms with abundant towels, wifi signal that was great ...all the basics were covered at a steal of a price compared to the over priced market of Laguna/Newport area.
Yes, 5 stars because for price quality relationship....they did their job!!!! (room price was done on line)

Room Tip: I had room 102 with a great view of the town and beach

This is a nice charming inn close to the beach. I booked ahead 6 months ago and got a good rate. I don't expect much but was surprised I enjoyed the stay, Room is not big but clean. Great breakfast spread free. Matt from front desk is very nice and helpful. There is free trolley from the city right at the corner to take me to town. Even the trolley has an mobile app so you can track when it will at your stop. Only disappointment is we got the room outside of the breakfast/patio area so it was loud in the morning.

Room Tip: If you are want to use the free trolley, get the trolley bus tracker from itunes or others. It will...

Every year we go to the pagent of masters and spend a few days in Laguna, we try different hotels. I must say this place was a surprise the rooms were clean the staff was friendly and helpful. You had easy access to the beach, I will stay there again.

I stayed here with my wife for one night over the weekend. For the price we paid, we could have stayed in a 5-star hotel.

With that being said, our expectations were a little higher than normal. What we found was a plain old inn worth one-third of the price.

The woman at the front desk was quite rude when we called in to ask until what time we could check in at night. The whole property sits extremely close to the main highway, so traffic noise was a major issue. In addition to that, the walls are paper thin, so you can hear the people in the next room's conversations.

The rooms themselves are clean, but tiny. The amenities are dated (tube TVs) and there aren't even phones in the rooms. The "continental breakfast" was really just a room with coffee, prepackaged muffins, and that's pretty much it.

Even location-wise, it is quite far from the center of the town, so walking would be a lengthy process.

Again, for the price we had to pay vs. what we got, it was almost a joke. I feel ripped off.

Now when i arrived, i had absolute minimal expectations for this place. It looked small and old. But when we got in to the hotel, it ended up being a very nice one day stay at Laguna Beach. We arrived early, so we were not able to get a room. But, my mother had a terrible headache, and the young man working the front desk got us a room so she could rest. Since she was able to rest, she felt much better, and could enjoy the day in Laguna. The room was surprisingly quiet, even though the road noise outside is VERY loud, considering our room was far away from the road (Room 111). If you are looking for a big fancy Marriott, Hilton or Holiday Inn, this is not your place. But if you want a good night sleep and still have a thick wallet for your vacation, the Laguna Beach Inn is the way to go!

Room Tip: Try to get a room far from the road!

Booked through a third party, we got a great price for such a beautiful inn. Right across the street from the beach, and it is an incredibly beautiful/rich area. You will spend a good amount of money if you want to do any shopping and eating out, but it's a great place to enjoy Laguna, LA, Huntington Beach, or wherever in Orange County. Hope to make it again!
