“Great Food And Atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

We had reservations and were seated promptly. I started with the THREE CLAM CHOWDER some of the best clam chowder I ever had. The main entrée was a 6oz filet with spinach, asparagus, and pave potatoes also very good. My guests had chicken and grilled swordfish which they said was very good. The only problem was they were out of the lobster bisque.

Food was delicious and the staff and manager most welcoming. Thoroughly enjoyed our experience and definitely will return.

“Unhappy hour”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2014

Four of us ended up here on a search for Happy Hour for drinks and appetizers. This was not the place. We were offered the lounge, which looked appealing with a piano entertainer and a nice look to it. The service was hurried and not particularly accommodating. Bar stools at some of the tables were designed to keep you from staying too long. The food was very average for the price - our bill was twice as much as similar but better food at other places in La Quinta.

“Very overpriced dinner menu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

Our party of four each had a different dinner entre. The waiter did not know whether the salmon
was farm raised or wild, and tried to assure us it was "great." He was asked to find out, and
eventually advised the it was Lock Duart ( Scottish farm raised). He was an old style, pretentious, "make up stories as you go" waiter.
I had the halibut, which was prepared OK, but the size was likely about 4-5 oz for $34 !!
Someone else had the lamb medallions. There were two, overcooked very small pieces for $38
-unbelievable.
Before ordering our dinner, we inquired about a couple dinners someone else were enjoying,
and were told that you had to order them 2-3 days ahead, even though they were on the
daily bar menu. The waiter made up a story about that it took 2-3 days to get the Kobe beef,
for these burgers -therefore we could not order them. This was also bought to the manager's
attention, who just brushed it off. Here the customer is never right !
We have eaten here before, and the " happy hour menu" is OK, but the dinner menu is very
overpriced. The Bar is pretty noisy on the weekend with a keyboard player.
However, after this experience , this place is off our list for good. There are too many other
and much better places for service and value in La Quinta and Palm Desert.

“Staying at La Quinta resort, we walked here for dinner.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 31, 2014

The place had some decent reviews so figured we would give it a try. Went during the week and ate in the bar area. The place was fairly empty (bar area was a good choice) and there was a musician there. Heard the menu was a bit pricey (looked at it and agreed) so we ate off the bar menu. Happy hour wines were decent. We shared the grilled romaine hearts which was a disappointment (small and way underdressed, tasted very bland and boring). Hubby had the margarita flatbread which was "ok" nothing to write home about. I had the burger which had gotten good reviews and I agree with that, it was very tasty. Service was on point but overall we would not go back. Nothing to complain about but not memorable either (even with the music).
