“Exceptional Rush”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2012

Jumping off a cliff may not appeal to everyone, however having done this several times, nothing quite like it. Very different from parasailing. The view from up above and "hanging" in the wind with an experienced pilot, particularily on a perfect day in La Jolla is something everyone should experience at least once. Also quite entertaining to sit with kids and observe for free. There is a nice restaurant there too.

“Beautiful View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2012

This lookout over the ocean is breathtaking. You can see for miles and miles out over the ocean and the sandy beaches below. We had the kids with us and it is so neat to see people take off and glide over the beaches below. It is a nice place to go and relax and watch the action. There was a hamburger food stand there that smelled so good, we didn't eat there that day but definetly thought next time, we would plan on eating there. It is a must see in San Diego.

“Super Cool!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 27, 2012

Wow-this is a fun little diversion whether you just want to watch the boys run off the edge of the Cliff or have a quick bite to eat. The "Restaurant" serves up tasty Lunch sandwiches, chips, soups etc. at pretty reasonable prices and you'll spot locals brown bagging too. Lots of picnic tables, great spot for a sunset, gaze at the ocean
and relax a few.

“Spectated Only, but Enjoyed the Time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

We used the parking lot near the Gliderport to access a nearby beach, but were fascinated by the gliders. Although we cannot comment about pricing or the staff, the area is beautiful, and the gliders are amazing to watch as they silently soar above the cliffs. When we have more time to stay, we plan to give the place a try.

“Fun to watch them take off”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

We were here on a relatively nice Saturday, so parking was horrible. We walked over the hill to the diner not realizing were were in restricted area. Other than a few glares, nobody said anything to us, however.
We ate some lunch while watching people take off and land. The food was actually pretty good. They are completely "off the grid" meaning no electricity and no running water. The lady selling food was gracious enough to offer a wet wipe to wash our hands, however.
