There is a good reason Trip Advisor has this hotel is ranked among the worst in La Jolla. Despite the current renovations, unless the management staff changes, it will continue to disappoint and should be avoided at all costs. I sense that this property is struggling and would urge extreme caution if considering the San Diego Marriott La Jolla for a business trip, wedding group, tour group, or business group. My company manages hundreds of thousands of trips for business travelers and we have now black listed this property across our network. The managment staff's philosophy is clearly "the hotel comes first and the traveler second". Should you choose this property and have to deal with the management staff, you will find a general lack of appreciation for your business and zero flexibility should your plans change. I would not recommend this property for all corporate and leisure travelers.
