We stayed there for a week right after x-mas 2012. I've been very busy since so now I'm finally getting to write my review. One big issue I wasn't aware of when I booked the room was that they're doing some major reno so the pool & spa were closed for the most of the time we're there and the first night/morning was horrible. Apparently, we had a room right next to another room/section that was being renoed and the crew was there 7 am! I'm glad they're happy, but they're singing and talking really loud and woke us up. We called the front desk and the very friendly woman took care of the situation. They did give us another room, which was much quieter. After that the trip and overall stay was very good.
Overall, I did think the rooms were on the smaller side, but very clean. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. We ate at the restaurants a few times and the food was good. On the last night of our stay I finally got to use the pool and I was bummed that I didn't get to use it before as it was really nice. The location was very good although there wasn't much near the hotel itself. We had an easy access to most major attractions in San Diego and downtown La Jolla. My major complaint was the quality of the toilet paper. But recently I stayed at another nice hotel and its toilet paper wasn't soft either. I guess I'm spoiled by my own TP.
