We needed a break after a hectic Thanksgiving to relax at Estancia. We were greeted amiably, valet took our car, and helped load luggage. Champagne awaits in the lobby as you check in. We were situated in a room on the 2nd floor, which had a maze of detours, but we eventually got there. Just the facts:
Positives--Nice area, easy to find, weather decent. Lovely grounds. Library and lounges nice. Lots of fireplaces and sitting areas to enjoy the grounds. Quiet a/c/heating. Breakfasts were good. Fancy bottled water is offered at no extra charge
Negs-- only one restaurant available for dinner w/limited menu. Burger was awesome but pricey. We don't like Starbucks coffee (strong) but that is all they offer, even in the rooms. We had very inconsiderate people above us that clomped around all night and sounded like they were dropping bowling balls. We were also surprised at how many children were on the grounds. You would think this to be a couples kind of place. Room could've used 2 overstuffed chairs instead of just one by the lamp- see picture. Rooms were just above average.Lighted closet, fridge and safe provided, no microwave. TV good HD wide screen. Robes provided.
