“Snorkel La Jolla, San Diego”

My husband and I love to snorkel on all our vacations to the coasts. On a quick trip to San Diego this past weekend we found a snorkeling tour brochure for Seastar Adventures. We had a great guided tour of the bay and were able to see the under water life near La Jolla. We went to a protected bay and we were at the end of Mission Blvd..I think it was Mission Bay Park. Wanted to see the kelp forests I've read about but the waters were too rough. We saw some awesome sea life and learned a lot about marine life in the waters of the Pacific. Our guide was Justin and he was awesome - a great treasure hunter, very informative and really let us explore and answered all our questions. There were a number of differnt fish, some soft coral and kelp - very beautiful. Would definately go again! Will have to take Scuba next!

“Best part of San Diego trip”

Spent a day in La Jolla with my boyfriend during our trip to San Diego. It was definitely the best, most romantic part of our trip.

The scenery is breathtaking! We spent quite some time watching the seals on a long pier/walkway that jets over the area where they hang out. We climbed on the rocks. We ate at the Brockton Villa Restaurant, overlooking the water; that was wonderful. We shopped at a fabulous African art store.

Everyone was very friendly and down-to-earth! We are moving here as soon as we win the lottery!

“A NIce Afternoon at the Scenic La Jolla Cove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 13, 2006

We spent a very nice afternoon at the La Jolla Cove while on our anniversary trip to San Diego. This is a very scenic part of La Jolla. We loved the grassy park area in front of the cove and there are also clean public restrooms which was nice.

The cove is a great place to explore the tidepools, there were scuba divers, snorkelers and the La Jolla Swim Club here the afternoon we were there. The water was warm enough in December for some to swim without wetsuits.

After some shopping on Prospect, we returned back to the walking paths along the cove and were able to watch the stages of the gorgeous sunset. Tourists and locals line up all over the coast to photograph this gorgeous event each evening.

La Jolla Cove is breathtaking! You have to experience the beauty to believe it. I lived in La Jolla for 5 years and realize now that there is no place like it in the United States. You will love the area!

Gorgeous ocean setting in a very picturesque part of San Diego area. It's fun to watch the seals at La Jolla Cove. It's quite the photographer's paradise.
