“Very beautiful cove”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2013

Very beautiful, you can get close up and personal with the sea lions, see the caves, and enjoy the awesome cliffs in La Jolla. only downfall is parking is very hard to come by on the weekends anyways. try to come early or on a weekday to enjoy this area.

“Seals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

This was a wonderful place to get up cl8se with some sea life. Be ready for the odor though. It reaks of urine from the seals. Absolutely beautiful though. It was very relaxing watching the waves roll in. My family also enjoyed the kiaking tour also. It was also very educational.

“Loved La Jolla Cove”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

What's not to love about this incredible area. The cove itself is full of incredible scenery and wildlife. The California sea lions were particularly vocal and animated when we visited. We also had the pleasure of visiting the cove from the sea via a kayak. Go check it out while you are in San Diego. It's a must-see.

“Always a treat to visit the cove and stroll the streets in this area, visit the shops, restaurants, etc.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

Whenever we travel to San Diego, we always try to get up to La Jolla. Do not miss the scenic drive and a stop at the cove to watch scuba divers, snorkelers, kayakers, and of course, the seals, sea lions, gulls, etc.

“Beautiful Time by the Cove”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 11, 2013

We spent a couple of hours at the cove. It was a beautiful day. Seals/sea lions, gulls & pelicans were plentiful. People were alone, in couples, small groups and families. Some people were kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming and scuba diving. There are sidewalks and steps going down to the beach or rocks so you can get in the water if you'd like to.

I suggest that someone in La Jolla put up informational signs on the wildlife for tourists. We saw birds we could not identify and had questions about the habits of pelicans and seals or sea lions. Maybe a civic organization would take this on.

It is a very enjoyable place to walk & observe costal wildlife.
