We planned a small (40) person wedding at the LaValencia. We planned on using the Garden area for the ceremony and cocktails. We then had a small dining room for dining. All details were taken care of by a great staff. The execution was flawless and our wedding was perfect. The food and beverage was also superior.
The entire experience was as much as anyone could expect.

Upon entry into the lobby there is one spectacular view of the Pacific after another. The side 'porch' with umbrella tables overlooks the hotel pool and great views of the sunsets. Great happy hour. Our room looked out to La Jolla shores, Torrey Pines and up to Del Mar (after the marine layer lifts each morning). Very accommodating. We wanted a small refrigerator for wine and cheese and, voila, there it was. Original wood work takes you back in time. Location perfect for all other shops and restaurants in the Village.

My husband and I stayed there for 3 nights on the 9th floor with an incredible view of the ocean. The service was great, location excellent with easy walking distance to restaurants, shops, beach. I would definitely come back and stay there if I'm ever in La Jolla again.

Very good restaurant with good service. Prices are not extremely high, having in mind perfect location and ocean view. Place was almost empty on Thu night (perhaps, because of rainy weather).
Not wide variety of dishes in the menu, but all food is well prepared.
