I came here in Jan to get some skiing in at the ski resort. I was very unhappy with the restaurants at the resort and they all close early anyways, so I came here for the Sat night special. They had the X Games going on so it was PACKED!
Food - pretty good actually, the Prime Rib special was tasty. I scarfed down every scrap of meat on that plate. Recommend the mashed potatoes with this dish. Didn't care for their beers on tap but they carry good bottled beer. If it's not Sat night, go for the fish tacos.
Service - Friendly bartender, semi-hostile Host. It is very chaotic and disorganized. Granted it was standing room only that night but I was generally unhappy with the organization of the people. Simply put, there wasn't any. Groups came in after earlier groups and were seated because the Host was standing there when they came in. Tables were left empty for 45 min+ due to a reservation when the restaurant was packed with starving people at the bar.
Ambiance - rustic, looks authentic though. Friendly crowd, easy to talk to people.
Pricing - High, but as the only non-resort restaurant with a night time offering, they can charge it. Also, they are high but not Vail Resorts high. Prime Rib special is a $30 heavy Prime Rib Steak (good value) but the beers are $8/each (does my Sierra Nevada Pale Ale come with Gold Flakes in it?) lol.
