“Bright, colourful rooms shame about the smell from the drains!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

We stayed at Mick & Craig's for a couple of evenings.

The rooms are a good size, bright, colourful and clean with fresh towels and a separate toilet/shower area with hot water. They also have lovely porch areas with chairs to sit out on in the evening or day time. The only problem was that the room smelt, I assume because of a drainage problem, so we had to have the extractor and fan on constantly!

They also have a restaurant area (a bit overpriced but all of Sihanoukville is costly), we only eat there once as my girlfriend asked for scrambled eggs and they were really sloppy! I would recommend eating on the food stalls opposite the statue of the lion or there are plenty of little cafes etc, a French run one near the beach is really good.

Bonus is they are not far from the beach, they have free wi-fi, a pool table (if that is your thing) and they buy and sell books and we didn't have any issues with security as mentioned in another review!

Otherwise the room was secure and we had no problems

I stayed at Mick & Craig's twice while I was in and around Sihanoukville. The first time we arrived and it took us a while to find anywhere that wasn't full. M&C had a room for $16 with 3 single beds, perfect for me and the 2 others I was with. There were clean towels hot water and a TV with cable TV.

The staff are friendly and helpful!

Second trip round after spending some time on the islands, we head back to M&C and the same room is available as last time. We get talking to one of the owners and they gave us a discount on the room. We were also in need of some help with sickness and laptop repairs and the owners couldn't have been more helpful on both subjects! Giving us information on where to go and where not to go.

Accommodation isn't the cheapest around Sihanoukville so try and have someone to stay with and head here.

The location is perfect right on the main strip but away from all the noise.

me and my friend stayed here for one night before we got the bus to ho chi minh. The beach and area is really busy and touristy but if thats what you like its good :-) but the rooms here were very clean and spacious with a window and a place to sit outside. Would recommend as great value. We had one meal here but wouldnt recommend as the service was soooo slow and unfortunately there are better cheaper places to eat nearby. But for a good cheap room would highly recommend.

We got a room here on our way to and from our stay on Koh Rong Samloem. The room was cheap enough and clean enough, but nothing special--mainly designed as a place to crash. The place was surprisingly quiet for being right off the main bar-hopping thoroughfare. Easy walk down to the restaurants on the beach.

The reception guy was also very helpful in arranging our bus tickets (though a warning--nowhere nearby seemed to open prior to 8-9am so no breakfast if you are an early riser/early boat or bus ride!)

Did not stay here but ate here one night and was impressed with quality of Khmer dishes and western dishes. Service was Ok and prices were great. Kids enjoyed food variety and great to sit in restaurant and watch the world walk by.

Great clean rooms. Just what we needed. Its close enough to the beach and restaurants. We saw a couple of places around the area that looked like the people that stayed there, were there to party. This is what was nice at Mick and Craigs.

Good clean rooms, good location next to monkey republic but quieter which is a good thing. Free pool table and great food deals during the evening, try the BBQ night, it was excellent. The staff were friendly and it's right next to a book shop and easy few min walk to the beach. I would recommend this place and go back there.
