“Stayed here 1 night before getting the boat out to Koh Rong Samloen!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night before getting the boat to Lazy beach. Hotel was nice, our room was on the ground floor next to the pool which was lovely. It was huge and clean! We sunbathed at the pool in the afternoon there was plenty loungers. The location is good for bars and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel, was great value for money. We also stayed al the Sokha beach resort and in comparison, this was much cheaper and not much different.

I had not checked reviews on TA before booking, but I did on my way there, so my expectations upon arrival were low. First thing that hit me was the amount of rules plastered all over the place. No drugs, no human trafficking, no weapons or explosives.. And a clear sign informing me that this was indeed not a brothel... personally I found it all amusing.. the staff were polite, the rooms were clean and big. The pool was nice and clean. Housekeeping did a good job every day. Bed was comfortable. The internet was on the slow side. If you are looking for a place to stay, this is a good choice. As for all the comments about the reception staff, either they have made changes, or, most lightly, people are too touchy and rude, and deserved a small overhaul...

This hotel was a huge let down. The staff were rude and not helpful at all. The hotel itself seems very unwelcoming. Our room had bad wifi and the shower the flooded within 4 minutes. Although the signs were very adament on having no prostitutes I saw many guests bringing prostitues up to their room. My friend accidently left a top there when we checked out and when we came back 2 days later they said they had the top and went to go get it. 20 minutes of waiting and our bus was going to leave without us. They did not try to hurry and bring the top down and didn't care that my friend had to leave without it after waiting so long. A really bad hotel in a beautiful country.

The Serendipity Beach Resort had the prefect location. Right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants with plenty of street lighting. Rooms were modern. We asked for a sea view and it was a great outlook. We stay 6 nights as we were a bit over moving around. Pool was nice but had to much chlorine. Use the Canadia ATMs as they don’t charge withdrawal fees. They don't have a restaurant but with the many options around the hotel it wasn't an issue. The wifi was very intermittent.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with the a sea view. Try any one of the beach side restaurants for BBQ and cheap beer...

For a 4 star hotel on the beach it was not very pleasant! Staff were not friendly or helpful. Very basic room, "sea view" rooms do not have a sea view and hotel is generally run down and in need of maintenance. Would not recommend this hotel when there are plenty to choose from all around similar prices.

Stayed 3 nights here and found the rooms very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a nice bathtub and separate shower area. Amazing balcony with views of the islands.

Room wasn't cleaned during stay but for me that is not a problem. Comfortable bed in a spacious room,a decent selection of cable channels and quite a stable albeit slow wifi connection.

Swimming pool and gym also available free of charge.

The reception staff (solely reception, the cleaners are very friendly) massively let this place down. Very surly and rude, unwelcoming and of no help with any question or advice you may need.I would suggest the management of this hotel urgently address this problem as it lets down what could be a very nice hotel. I would also suggest removing the overwhelming amount of signs stating not to bring prostitutes back, its not a good image for the hotel to project and puts of standard customers.

Small improvements could make this place great rather than good.

The hotel is newish and the pool is big - the common parts are at best forgettable and the wifi is unusable as it is too slow.

The rooms are huge and aircon and double glazing work well - the furniture is of the garden variety plastic with wipe down vinyl. Nice bath tubs though. Both got bites overnight not sure if from beach or the hotel. Best of a dodgy bunch in this part of Sihanoukville.
